I have deleted all old versions of TSW from my PS5 except TSW5. The DLC for old versions have not been deleted though. They are still in storage and seen by the PS5 as belonging to TSW5. Under “Manage Game Content” for TSW5 it lists 298 DLC with many duplicates (three versions of some) and the total size of TSW5 is listed as 843.2 GB under “storage”. I obviously do not have 298 DLC but I am a bit wary of deleting things individually in case I get the wrong ones. Can I trust the icons to know what’s what? I’ve done a test, deleting one duplicate DLC, and the correct one is still there in game so I think I’ll be fine but it’s very odd for this to have not been fixed from previous reports. One bigger question is why does the PS5 think that the DLC from older versions of the game are for TSW5 anyway? I really did think that deleting TSW4 would also delete all the TSW4 DLC and deleting TSW3 would delete TSW3 DLC but that was just me being daft I guess. Last time I thought it was just because I still had the older games installed but deleting the games made no difference. Is this going to repeat with TSW6 thinking all DLC from all previous versions are TSW6 DLC?
Yoicks. At this point, might it be worth just deleting the lot and reinstalling the current one from scratch?
I had this problem recently. You can't trust the icons as some of the TSW5 versions still seem to have a 4 logo. I just deleted the entire game. Then when I reinstalled it, it asked which DLCs I wanted to install and only showed me the list of current ones (about 80 in my case). It's a mess and likely to get worse with TSW6. I'm lucky to have fast internet so the reinstall method is not a big problem, but for those with slower connections it can be a real pain.
Hi stujoy Unfortunately, this was due to Train Sim World 5 having backward entitlements for older games. Therefore, each store page for an add-on contained the entitlement for every version of that add-on. It became very messy, but this was the only way we could do it due to the limitations of the PlayStation Store. Other platforms can handle this with more grace. Apologies for your experience, as we can appreciate that this gets very confusing! This won't be a problem for Train Sim World 6 as backward entitlements have been removed. When you download a TSW 6 add-on from the PlayStation Store, you will only get the TSW 6 version.
From what I know it's just a one size fits all for all games and addons across PSN not DTGs fault persay
