This is a new suggestion from Norway, this time with Stjørdal-Støren.
Stjørdal-Støren is a very nice route with a lot of nice nature.
The track runs along the Trondheimsfjord all the way to Trondheim.
The route is 85 km long. I want the time to be dated to 2019 since the railway was better then. (now there are many foreign companies running in Norway)

    The stations

    Stjørdal
    [IMG]
Stjørdal station is 34.67 kilometers from Trondheim S. The station is 6.6 meters above sea level. It was opened in 1902 when "Hell - Sunnanbanen" was completed to Levanger.

    Trondheim Lufthavn (Værnes)
Trondheim Airport stop was expanded in the 1990s to get a better connection between the trains on the Nordlandsbanen and Trondheim Airport, Værnes. The stop is 33.0 kilometers from Trondheim S. It is located 5.0 meters above sea level. From the platform, there is direct access to the terminal building at Trondheim Airport. The station has a universal design.

    Hell
    [IMG]
Hell station has undergone a major rebuild (completed 2018). All trains now stop at a new stop and platform approx. 200 meters west of the old station building. The station has a universal design.

Hell station is 31.54 km from Trondheim. The height above sea level is 3.2 meters. The station was opened in 1881, the station building is from 1902. Hell is a branch station between Nordlandsbanen and Meråkerbanen.

    Tourist attraction

Due to its name, Hell Station has become a tourist attraction. While associated with the religious concept Hell by English-speakers. The station's freight building still bears the old sign saying Hell Gods-Expedition.

Hommelvik Station is 23.14 km from Trondheim. The height above sea level is 7.5 meters. The station was opened in 1881, the station building is from 1958.

    Vikhammer

The old locomotive shed you see in the background has now been demolished as well as the rails around it. The reason is that they are going to build a FLIRT workshop. This is one of the reasons I want the route in 2019.
