HI All, I have just uploaded the most recent update to the Stour Valley line to http://dolanbaker.ie/ This update includes all the station buildings with improved texturing, improved track embankments and nearby scenery, all signalling and many near scenery items. The update has concentrated on the Marks Tey - Shelford section of the route, the Long Melford- Bury St Edmunds & Colne valley sections are next, finally the Saffron Walden branch.
Looks great, I really like the way you've carefully crafted the cuttings and embankments - even added a grass loft to them as well? Makes a big difference to routes.
Thanks for the kind comments, I have made a special effort to try to make the route as realistic looking as possible especially given the terrain in the area with many short cuttings and embankments, which just don't look right if you use the TSC terrain tools. As you could imagine, it took a long time and several rebuilds as I changed the lofts until I found one that I could live with.
Hi All I am pleased to announce the next release of the Stour & Colne Valley routes v0.5, this update now includes stations along the Colne Valley section Between Haverhill and Chappel and Wakes Colne along with the route between Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds. Thanks Jamie, A lot done but still a lot to do before I consider the route "done", it will probably never get finished as there will always be something to add. It will just look finished!
