The route from Stralsund to Rügen has a length of around 65 km and has mostly two tracks. Parts with only one track are Stralsund Rügendamm - Altefähr, Lietzow(Rügen) - Sassnitz and Lietzow(Rügen) - Ostseebad Binz. You already built this route for TS2021, featuring the BR 143, Doppelstockwagen, the BR 120 and the BR 155. On this route is operating the RE9 every 60 minutes. Until 2007, a BR 143 and 3 DR-Dosto were operating (as RE9 from Rostock, RB13 to Sassnitz and RB14 to Binz). From 12/2007 until 12/2019, DB Regio Nordost operated on the RE9 with 5 DB BR 429 EMUs (Flirt 1 with 5 cars). There was the RE9 Rostock - Stralsund - Sassnitz every 120 minutes, two trains operated. The RE9 Stralsund - Ostseebad Binz was also operated by one BR 429 every 120 and between Lietzow and Sassnitz/Binz, an other train operated with connections to Stralsund/Rostock. Since 12/2019, the ODEG (Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH) is operating on the RE9 with the BR 4746 (same as the ÖBB 4746), the timetable is the same.
There are some long-distance-trains to Stralsund and via Pasewalk to Berlin or via Rostock to Hamburg (-> Karlsruhe/Stuttgart). The most trains are/was an Intercity 1, mostly with the BR 101 and some IC wagons. Some trains are ICE trains, operating with the ICE-T (BR 411). The number of trains varies between the days. The IC/ICE trains are calling at Stralsund Hbf, Bergen auf Rügen and Ostseebad Binz. Some trains are also calling at Prora.
Freight trains (very few trains!) are driving to Mukran. In Mukran is also some old rolling stock.
    Route map:

Only the RE9 to Rostock every 2 hours leaves the route into a portal, the other RE9 trains stay on the route. Some pictures:

From 2007 to 2014/2015, sometimes this train replaced the BR 429 (Picture in Bergen auf Rügen):
It was a BR 112 or BR 114 and 3 Dostos. The Dostos were mostly Dosto03 (little different to the Dosto07 from RSN/MSB).

Since 2019, the BR 4746 is operating:

    My suggestion for a DLC:
Train for the RE9 (more below)
Some Freight and maybe a shunter for Mukran
Intercity services with the BR 101 (extra layer; no ICE services (placeholder for Loco-DLC))
Extra Layers for old german rolling stuck (just placed in Mukran, this could be: BR 143, BR 155, BR 204 (not sure), BR 363 (not sure), BR 232, old Dostos, n-Wagen (if you make some in future) or Intercity wagons (only the ex. Interregio wagons)). But this are only examples.

    Option 1 for the RE9 (and RB13/RB14):
    BR 143
    DBuza 747 (DR-Dosto)
    DABbuzfa 760 (Cab car)

    Option 2.1:
    BR 429

    Option 2.2:
BR 114 (with substitution for the BR 112 from HBL)
    DBpza 780.1 (not 780.3)
    DABpza 785.1 (picture above)
    DBpbzfa 765.5 (not 766.0)
(I just marked the differences to the MSB Dostos, just in the case you accidentally copied the MSB Dostos^^)

    Option 3:
    ÖBB/ODEG 4746
Maybe licensing could be a problem.

    Possible DLCs for this route:
    BR 411
BR 143 and DR-Dostos with new timetable (if you don't make Option 1)
BR 429 with new timetable (if you don't make Option 2)
ÖBB/ODEG 4746 with new timetable (if you don't make Option 3)

Good Idea, would love to see a BR 120 with it though, as it's one of my favourite locos. However that also might be a good DLC for this or a different route.

This is definitely a good idea and at Mukran Port there's DB BR204s in 1.52 Gauge Tracks because that German port has train ferries to Russia. If Dovetail games was able to get Russian railways license then there will be RZD wagons for DB BR204s to shunt into the train Ferry which will then form a new DLC St Petersburg Urban railways. That requires Mukran Port to be PZB LZB Sifa 1.435 m & 1.52 m tracks in addition to the Soviet ALSN Klub-U signalling System.

Nice rollingstock on that route, in Belgium we have the Desiro ML (BR 4746) too! I really like the older dosto's too and the variation from older and newer rolling stock.

A very nice proposal. It would probably be coolest with the DB Flirt and maybe BR 120, other locos could have freight layers (we already have plenty to do that). I have personally been on the island and riding a train there is interesting as you mostly are on a single track between forests and sea. They should definitely prepare the Puttbus branch for a DMU DLC though.

There's also been (normally I think still is, but... covid) a Czech EC train running from Prague to Binz during summers, a pretty interesting thing to see our coaches so far north.

Really would love to see the 120 and FLIRT. Maybe the 120 with Czech IC coaches could be a layer for people that have my proposed Dresden-Neustadt - Děčín route ;) (just doing a little self promotion)

I think the 120s have usually been thrown on the train in Stralsund. 101s were not necessary on the last leg with a top speed of only around 90 km/h. But the coaches definitely could make a layer appearance. Probably 120s with normal IC coaches as part of the DLC and the extra service pair with the Dresden-Děčín route :D

I agree since the DB BR120 with IC Coaches are on Train Sim 21 version of the route. Furthermore DTG will give DB BR120 with IC Coaches that come standard with Stralsund Sassnitz layers on HMA SKA RRO Main Spessart Bahn& HRR since those have IC traffic. DB BR101 IC will be layered here from HRR Duisburg-Bochum Dortmund

Ah, the BR120 was one of my favourite locos in Train Simulator. Would love to see it in TSW as well. :)

It's one of my favourites in real life. It doesn't look very special (still good though), even though it's an immensly powerful loco and the first of it's kind. The technology used in it forms the basis for nearly all moderen electric (and even diesel-electric) locomotives.

If the Flirt 1 comes with this route, people could repaint it to a Eurobahn Livery and make custom Scenarios on RRO

This is a very good idea this Route. Because than you can use the Stadler from Sursee - Luzern in DB-Design. There are also the DB BR 101 from HRR, the Dostos from a lot of german routes. All in one i find this is a very nice route for the next german route in TSW2.

Dont know if it has been mentioned yet but the ICE-T (BR 411/415) also runs between Stralsund and Ostseebad Binz and is hopefully considered for development by dtg in the near future...
