Hello, Recently I downloaded the god mode mod for tsw5. I play on the Microsoft store version of the game by the way. Ever since I downloaded the mod, I have been having super frustrating stutters. Are there any solutions to this as it is absolutely unbearable.
Have you tried without the mod? Also, which route, train, service, were you in free roam or timetable?
Hello, I installed the god mode mod for TSW5 on Microsoft store recently. Ever since then, I have been experiencing frequent stutters up to 5 seconds in length. These make the game near unplayable and I have been searching for a fix. My system specs are the TSW3 recommended specs (3070, 5600x...) and have been delivering decent performance. Please help as this is an absolute nightmare!
Its the mod that causes the stutters, I've determined that. It happens on all services and routes. I've been trying to find a way to use the mod and still play the game.
While using the god mode mod for tsw5, I cannot restart a service, route hop or exit and begin a new service without the game crashing. Please help!
If a mod causes issues, then don't use it and provide a bug report to its developers (there's probably a topic somewhere). You can't expect DTG to fix this, so it is useless to open multiple topics that probably won't be seen by the godmode maintainers. Please never post the same topic twice, it just clutters the forums.
Does it really matter whether you play on PC or not? One must've surely heard of this mod either way, Superman.
Oddly enough, no. Because I don't play on PC I don't keep upto date with mods. That you have an issue with that is of no concern to me.
Make sure the mod version you are using is compatible with the current version of TSW5. Mods may crash if the game version is updated and the mod has not been updated to support the new version.
The game stutters regardless of platform and in the case of PC whether or not God mod is active. Just watch the main preview stream for the forthcoming JT route. Massively fantastic route and train but the stuttering and accompanying sound rubber banding was absolutely appalling in places. There is no way all four of the presenters couldn’t have been aware of that but obviously keeping schtum about the whole thing rather than admit there is still work to be done in smoothing out the game.
Good morning folks, I merged the three started threads about the same topic and moved everything into the appropriate forum section. dtgtrainlad#8395 for future reference, please do not open multiple threads about the same topic in short succession, as this goes against our forum rules, thank you. All the best, Jan
Honestly - i don't think DTG can fix the stutters. It's something that's a part of all Unreal Engine based games, caused by assets for the next "chunk" of the world you're in, loading into RAM. Most Unreal Engine games mask the loading (and therefor the stutters) by clever level design (e.g.: ever wondered why you need to creep and crawl through all those tight holes in walls in Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor? This is why - it's a camouflaged loading screen to carve up those games' huge worlds into chunks, so that the chunk that you're in falls inside the "stutter threshold"). Cut scenes are another way of preventing stutters, by placing them before the next chunk of world needs to be loaded into RAM. But if you're modeling "levels" after the real world like DTG does, you don't have that luxury and stutters become a thing.
Your spec shouldn't be a problem. Ram usage can be over 16gb ,if that's what you have; get another 16gb stick. If you've 32gb or more: Update your chipset drivers for the motherboard, sometimes people forget this. You can try setting your FPS at 42,in the settings. Lower sky quality to medium. Likely one (or more)of the CPU cores is staying at 100% . Run a route a couple of times to build the shader cache.Note every time you update your GPU driver, shader stutter will return. I'm Ryzen 3600,2070 super (my card is better than my CPU can handle),so the 42 FPS has cured the CPU maxing out for me.
really sorry about that, its my first time posting on the forums, ill make sure it doesnt happen again!
