Just finished a career scenario on Dresden to Leipzig with the 1442. End message was that I had been successful and all the objectives met. However when I exited to the menu to pick another scenario on that route, the one I’d just done had no star or even a green tick next to it.
Why not tell us which scenario? Open Steam\userdata\yourID\24010\remote\Career.xml in Notepad++. (Shut down Steam for that and make a backup of that file!) Then make a search for the Scenario GUID. It will show you the reason for the failure. Often it's "CompletedFailedConsist", which can mean a scenario has a flaw in its stock numbering. You can change that line to "CompletedSuccessfully", enter score 1000, save the file, and delete SDBCache.bin to update it. Only works when NOT USING STEAM CLOUD as this is the file that gets synced.
It was Scenario #4, Talent 2 0748 Wurzen to Halle. I’ll interrogate the file later (while SimRail is reinstalling ) see if anything reveals itself and/or give myself a nice green tick!
I have a faint memory of this being reported a long time ago. Probably that scenario got updated but there's a mismatch of some kind in the Steam career scenario database, which is probably why this won't trigger. Follow the guide posted above to get the medal (Note ScenarioCareer id is local for you - so search for the GUID starting with f41d6b). Then delete SDBCache.bin so changes are applied. And BACKUP career.xml in case of a typo which could cause all scores to be reset.
Reminds me to remove the distracting cab reflection on the windscreen I'll leave it in but make the Alpha Channel almost fully transparent and lower the Lightness of the mirror image.
So be it. Here's the patch (also cab cam adjusted, two positions and softer sway - it was almost completely rigid). Recommended FOV is 77 (12 clicks from default 65) - that's equal to the TSW FOV then (which is 90 but seems the TSC FOV is based on the 5:4 format that was used in the 2000s.) As it'll get lost in here I've also uploaded it to trainsimcommunity.com
Slightly OT. The AP Class 86EP also has a distracting reflection on the windscreens. I copied the RSC Windscreen files across to change back to default
Don't see any reflection, just sunlight coming in. Or is that your already fixed version? (Must admit I haven't got the AP 86 yet... *duck and hide*) It's generally better to edit the texture than to swap it, it has worked for you but probably some realistic dirt AP added has disappeared too, though. But then, some like it some don't.
I'm not good at editing Graphics files and I thought the original RSC version was ok. (Ignore the speed)
