Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by dangerousdave, Mar 3, 2023.

  1. Has anyone else noticed the sudden rise in people being hit by trains in Kent and Sussex recently?

It's coming upto exam season. It always happens.

The lead upto Christmas usually sees a spike too.

Probably not really something to dwell on in a forum doubtless frequented by railway people who may have been involved in dealing with such incidents.

  6. The few I've seen recently are cases of people being where they shouldn't rather than people throwing themselves at them.

It's something that should be discussed as the people that don't realise the dangers of wandering up and down railway tracks or messing around on crossings, might get some idea of how dangerous a railway is.

You educate the people on the dangers about not walking down the tracks, but that will not stop them as they see it as a dare or adventure and do it regardless.
