Gotta love how people give a whole list of locos when asked about their favourite loco. I mean, they can't all be your favourite. The word "favourite" looses its value when you use it for such a long list. Come on people, challenge yourself and just pick one. You know, your favourite one. The favourite one.

That ÖBB locomotive is simply a re skin of Red DB BR182 Rapid Transit and the Black MRCE 182 Hamburg Lübeck. The newer version is called ÖBB 1216 ES64U4 can also operate on Dutch 1.5kv DC

I wouldn't say it's "just a reskin" considering there are differences. Might look the same but they are different.

I think there are differences. Most notably the ETCS display in the middle but also some other features and compatibility.

ES64U4 is a completely different locomotive.

A few more suggestions for UK stock...

    Class 53 Falcon
    Class 123 Express DMU
    Class 124 Transpennine DMU
    Class 128 Parcels DMU
    Class 129 Parcels DMU
    Classes 201 to 207 DEMUs
Classes 320 380 and 385 EMUs (Cathcart Circle)
Class 445 and 446 EMUs (PEP Prototypes)
    Class 442 Wessex Electrics
Class 769 Multi Mode units (Former 319)

I could probably list a few dozen more but these are some of the most interesting in my opinion.

The 385 didn't even exist when GCC is set, nevermind run the line.

Surely not that much has changed as it is set fairly recently. Not too much of an immersion breaker for me personally. Class 318 has also been mentioned before but I believe that they were pretty rare on the line. It is fair to say that I like almost everything with a TOPS number owing to just how many different designs have come and gone over the years.

It's not about the route changing. The route is set in 2017 and the 385 didn't exist back then.

Are we talking about locomotives only? Cause I see a lot of (great) EMU and DMU suggestions as well, and I'm not sure if that's what's meant, so I'll answer both to be sure :)

If the thread is about only loose locomotives, gotta be NS 1600/1700/1800 series :)

    [IMG][IMG]

And if we're interpreting this thread as meaning "Any train"
NS VIRM or NS ICM :) (both of these)
