    Dear Dovetail Games Team,

I am writing as a passionate Train Sim World player and rail enthusiast from Taiwan. I would like to suggest Taiwan as a potential new region for future DLC, offering a highly diverse railway network, modern rolling stock, and stunning scenery that could enrich the TSW experience.

    Taiwan Railways (TRA)

    • Eastern Coastal Line / North Link Line (花東線 & 北迴線): Featuring trains like TEMU1000 (Taroko), these lines run along the Pacific Ocean and mountainous terrain, providing breathtaking scenery and challenging curves.

    • Western Main Line (縱貫線): Passes through agricultural heartlands, rural villages, and urban centers.

    • South Link Line (南迴線): Coastal and scenic route connecting Taitung and Kaohsiung, less-traveled but visually rewarding.
Potential rolling stock – InterCity Express (Ziqianghao, 自強號)

    • EMU3000

    • TEMU1000 (Taroko)

    • TEMU2000 (Puyuma)

    • PPE1000

    • Older diesel units
This category represents Taiwan’s main intercity services, providing a variety of driving experiences and showcasing both modern and historical rolling stock.

    Commuter trains and locomotives

    • New EMU regional trains (for local and commuter service)

    • Modern locomotives, including the E500 series gradually replacing older E1000 units
    Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)
The 700T series operates from Taipei Nangang → Taipei → Banqiao → Taoyuan → Hsinchu → Miaoli → Taichung → Changhua → Yunlin → Chiayi → Tainan → Zuoying (Kaohsiung) at speeds up to 300 km/h. This corridor offers a compact yet visually diverse experience, combining urban centers, rural landscapes, and high-speed driving challenges, making it a distinct complement to conventional lines.

    Why Taiwan?

    • Extremely diverse rail network: coastal, mountain, urban, and rural routes in a small geographic area.

    • Unique features like tilting trains on scenic coastlines.

    • Multiple modern and classic rolling stock, reflecting Taiwan’s evolving railway culture.

    • Proven precedent: Taiwan High Speed Rail appeared in Railfan: Taiwan Shinkansen Edition on PS3, showing that collaboration is possible.
Adding Taiwan to Train Sim World would introduce scenic variety, technical challenges, and culturally distinctive rolling stock for both local and international players. With multiple scenic and engaging routes, Taiwan has strong potential as a promising future DLC.

Thank you for your time and for creating such immersive railway simulations.

    Best regards,
    HerikoXin.
