Hi folks, I have a suggestion for those that use Career Mode that if passing a red signal results in the dreaded "Game Over" message. Instead of just have the "OK" button. How about having a "Restart" button on the bottom left and a "Quit" or "Exit" button on the right? Would it be difficult for DTG to add this into the game? We already have a "Restart" button on the pause menu and I am assuming that adding some strings of the similar code to the "Game Over" screen would allow a "Restart" button to be added. This would make reloading the scenario to load much fast for those that want to try again on the same scenario and the "Quit" or "Exit" button would give the option to abort the scenario for those that don't have the time to try again. Would anyone from DTG or who knows coding would be able to explain if this would be easy to implement into the pop-up or would it be downright difficult? Personally I would like to see this added as an option in a future update as its technically adding a "restart" button into the Game Over Error screen as the Exit button is already there in terms of the "OK" button. So I think its doable with some work.
So basically you want to cheat Running a Career Scenario is like taking a Test - complete the Test without mistakes and you get the points. But If you make a mistake you want to restart at the same place to finish the scenario? Would you be happy if having restarted you did not get any points at the end? I don't know if it works with a Career Scenario but there is a box in Settings>Gameplay "Passing Danger Signal ends game" - is that ticked?
No I don't cheat and I don't condone such behaviour. To be honest Peter. I have scoring disabled in Career Mode to remove the "Arcade-ness" from the simulator. But the Game Over message cannot be disabled in Career Mode hence why I am suggesting DTG should add a "Retry" button on the same panel without the need to faff about with reloading.
I'm like you and have the Career Mode Scoring disabled. I also Clone the Scenarios with TS Tools to a Standard version and with "Passing Danger Signal ends game" unticked I can run them as I like including changing the traction for something I like
