It would be amazing to have a progression system for the game, in which some new trains would be unlockable by gaining Action Points and/or mastery rewards. I was thinking that you could have the DLCs still be paid, but also have some kind of in game store where you can use Action Points you've collected during runs to unlock DLCs like locos, routes, scenario/gameplay packs etc. And have it so you need to grind for a while, so playing a bunch makes it more rewarding for players. P.S: Is it possible to get branding for Pacific Surfliner and/or NCTD/Coaster? Thanks for reading, loving the game.
Don't think it's a great idea. That's basically saying you should get the dlc for free if you have enough action points. Unless you mean like career mode where you have to earn the trains included in the dlc but if you're talking about brand new dlc entirely, it's not going to happen. Branding depends on licensing so only can be added if they say yes
I'd rather they stick to what they're doing. I hate the idea of buying something, but having to unlock it before I can use it.
No, it would not be amazing. It would be extremely annoying. if I pay for a DLC, I expect to be able to use it without having to then play several hours to unlock it. There are already enough gameplay elements with scores, medals, achievements, collectibles and mastery. All of these have no place in a simulation in my opinion, so we don’t need any more.
No more 'gaming elements' please. At least not on PC where the original SIM to my dislike is turning more and more into a game. I don't care about the consoles, let those thumbstick warriors fight for the hot seat .
