JT Have done a fantastic job with the Blackpool route, but not just the route itself - the rolling stock too. With the 3 liveries and 3 engines for the pacer, I think this could become one of the more popular and favourite add-ons. As such, while I am aware there are no plans for DTG to do so currently, adding the pacer to the service modes of Northern Transpennine and Tees Valley would greatly increase the experience on these routes
The 142 destination blinds include stations for Tees Valley so one could always be added via free roam
It wouldn't be added to NTP, the route is set in 1983, which is before the Pacers existed. I'm currently adding them to TVL on a custom timetable I'm making on PC. They work well on the route, the destination boards and announcements were already setup by JT for the route as well which is nice.
This should've been added a long time ago. The 141 was introduced in 1984 (around the NTP timeline) in original Mint and Cream West Yorkshire PTE livery.
Correct but the problem is this the engine and gearbox its a Voith gearbox from a Citybus not the one from a Lorry Motorway coach bus the automated manual SCG type seen in Blackpool-Ormskirk via Preston Class 142 Pacer. Which itself was based on a Leyland National bus and its equivalent on LIRR Metro-North and NEC Trenton-Boston routes the Flixible Metro and RTS buses.
Good suggestion, as others have said, NTP is set a couple of years before the Pacers were introduced into service but I can see how it can get added to TVL judging that Just Trains have added destinations for Darlington, Middlesborough, Saltburn etc. to the Pacer, and as Fawx proves, it looks at home on TVL with the announcements and destination blinds already added in
NTP is set either 1983 or 1984, in which case, the Class 141 Pacer is a perfect candidate. As for the Class 142, it is 2 years too early.
Yeah, but the 141 currently is not in game, but the solution to that problem is if DTG make another DLC for NTP which is the 141 Pacer
Correct and it's also BSI Coupler equipped making it more flexible and if Huddersfield line NTP Class 141 owner has Blackpool to Ormskirk via Preston owned. The Class 141 NTP can combine with Class 142 Blackpool to Ormskirk via Preston owned as a longer train.
