A feature I would like to see in TSW is something that those who played TS Classic are familiar with - a pause game option without any menus or pop ups which allow for better screenshots, which aren't particularly possible, or quite difficult.
For those who don't play TS Classic, it's basically the equivalent to 'Active Pause' on Microsoft Flight Simulator.

    Also on top of this:
Maybe also increase the level of camera zoom available - There have been many shots I've attempted to take but they just don't look decent because the camera needed to be just a bit more zoomed in.

Bit more explanation on this for those who don't use TSC
You can "stop time" and still use any camera view you like, so if you want to take a screenshot you can pause, use remote camera to move to a location and frame up your shot, then unpause until the train is in the right place, repause and take a properly framed screenshot
This isn't possible in TSW because when you pause you get the route schematic screen or menu...

How about a screenshot tool in general? With some more advanced options like exposure, better zoom control, and maybe even different weather options?

Explained way better than I could haha thanks, but that's exactly what I mean. Would be great to have.

Nice idea, a screenshot tool, the only thing I would be sceptical about personally is the weather control aspect.

Lots of games allow you to set time of day / weather in screenshot mode. They just need to be sure they store the old values and revert properly when exiting the mode.

This is a feature I wouldn't mind seeing in TSW3 also. You can get some really fantastic-looking shots but it's currently limited to still or slow-moving trains because of the lack of said screenshot mode if you want a fully complete (ie. no UI, fully tweaked camera angle, etc) shot.

I'm pretty sure DTG Matt mentioned this in the past, something about the game engine not liking it when the simulation/time was paused without it being in a menu, apparently it would throw a paddy or something like that lol. Care to explain it better than me Matt? Lol

That's a real shame. There are already fantastic screenshots out there, but just think how much better they could be. Hopefully keep our fingers crossed one day

I haven't played train simulator classic to know all about the feature but I like taking screenshot. It would be a nice feature to have
