The suggestion is exactly what it says on the tin. DTG devs (hopefully you do read these forums) you have an entire back catalogue of IHH products which could be revamped and reissued for sale which would cover some motive power gaps. Some of these gaps were covered originally by IHH and with the closure of his business and the subsequent passing of the catalogue to DTG, some gaps have reappeared. DTG have reissued some items, but alas, there are still many gaps. These include (but not limited to): Metrovick Type 2, BR class 28 Clayton Type 1, BR class 17 BR Class 82 Class 44 and 46 Peaks BR class 22 and 29 Stanier 2-6-4T (which, by the way, is still the only model of this type to ever exist and a third party developer's effort has not seen light of day for years) HS4000 Kestrel BR class 114 DMU BR Class 107 DMU BR class 77 DC electric MK1 Variant Pullman Coaches Steam/Diesel crane. It would be nice if these were considered for rerelease as, whilst the re-releases have been good and helped fix gaps in the market, many more still remain.
Likelihood is the quality of said models is not up to current TS standards that it would be easier to remodel from scratch. Alternatively, release these as lower cost marketplace DLCs noting in the description that they lack the features of other products.
Let's just say when some of the artists looked at the models (this was a long time ago, before TSW, there were a lot of curse words, so I assume quite possibly not the best in model terms - I'm not one that makes models but I think that should give a good reason why they haven't been touched - equally I think they have been forgotten about - they still exist however but that being said the TS1 team is a fair bit smaller than it once was. ) (although I see the 77 mentioned above - that is on Steam? - granted not IHH but still there is a version).
Fairly noted Danny, I know I've heard that the quality is questionable. But replacements for some ARE needed. We need a new Class 26, and having it paired with a new Class 27 might not be a bad idea. But there are probably more important trains, and I guess I can just stick the 25 or 27 over the 26 where applicable. I think they also had a Class 19? i should go through an archive version of their page and see if I can make a list.
