More Classic-era routes set between the 1950s and the 1970s need to be added to TSW3. I'd like to hear your ideas. They can be US, German, or UK routes, or even from other countries. First, let me set a few ground rules:
1.) One suggestion at a time for each person
2.) Let others make a suggestion before you make another.
3.) Give route information, including length, features, possible locos and rolling stock, DLC ideas, time period, etc.

Here is my first suggestion on this list:

Western Pacific Feather River Canyon Route: Oroville-Portola, California

    -Length: over 70 miles

    -Time Period: 1960s- early 70s

-Features: Oroville Yard, Quincy, Quincy RR Shortline w/ lumber operations/WP interchange, Great Northern Inside Gateway section, Keddie Wye, 1% Grades, Many bridges and tunnels, Williams Loop, Portola Yard

    -Locos included:

-WP GE U30B in both orange/silver and maybe green/orange liveries
    -WP F7 (or FP7A) A-B-B Set in orange/silver livery
-Quincy RR #5: an EMD SW1200

    -Possible DLCs:
    -WP GP20, GP35, GP40, or GP40-2
-Quincy RR #12: an EMD SW7
    -WP EMD SW1500

    -Rolling Stock:
    -Quincy RR rolling stock
-WP bay-window caboose (w/ full interior)
-Full California Zephyr passenger consist w/ full interiors
    -WP period-authentic freight cars

Could do a route from London to Newcastle via York, or take it straight up to Edinburgh if they were feeling daring with the LNER class A4 Locomotive.

A mid 1960's route between Glasgow and Aberdeen with the class would also work.

Here is another pic of the Class A4 coming into Peterborough

I'd probably suggest having the route set in 1963; at least 29 of these Locomotives were still in service as the Class 55 Deltic was entering service.

    1960s-1970s Hollandstrecke Duisburg Utrecht.
Comes with DB BR001 010 fitted with Dutch ATB EG for Utrecht Duisburg if the Utrecht Arnhem Emmerich am Rhein is not electrified
If Utrecht Arnhem Zevenaar Emmerich am Rhein is electrified then you have NS Dutch Railways 1100 1200 1500 Class 77 UK interact with DB BR110 150 140 139 103 since these will run Duisburg Oberhausen Emmerich am Rhein for engine swap. Unless a DB BR184 is made then you can run Duisburg Oberhausen Arnhem Utrecht direct.

I don't have all of the details you want (perhaps y'all want to dig into this) but at one point in the 50's 16 different railroads went through santa fe juntion in kansas city. Today a few BNSF subdivisions converge there, plus there is UP, KCS, and a short line. Back in the day the UP city of trains went through there as well as the super chief. That area in either modern or diesel/steam transition eras would be fascinating. especially if they could simulate the different divisions. Ie emporia to topeka to kc. emporia to kc, ft scott to kansas city and perhaps go a little bit east.

I like the Kansas City route idea. ATSF diesels like the F7, GP7/9, GP20, GP30, GP35, SD24, FM H-12-44, FM H-16-44, FM Erie-Builts, and others would be fantastic to see.

I just thought about this route and this route would be National Railways of Mexico set during the early and mid 1950s or in Spanish it's Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico. I couldn't find any divisions that the railroad had because I don't speak Spanish but I found some locomotives that had where the 2-6-6-2s which they had 22 locomotives built between 1908 and 1911 and they also had 8 standard gauge simple 2-6-6-2s in 1937 and these were retired 1946-1963. The last steam locomotives they had were 32 4-8-4s built in 1946 and they were retired by 1965 which the railroad dieselized and speaking of diesels the diesels they had we're Baldwin centipedes which everyone that work good but they were a maintenance nightmare because the number of wheels and they had EMD f7s and they also had an electrified line which I don't know where that was and they read that they had steam locomotives that had split smoke stacks so smoke could touch the overhead wire and that's all I said and if there's anyone the could correct me on this just let me know.
