DTG does not seem to produce anymore content for Train Simulator (allthough never officialy stated). What´s the point of this part of the forums now? If you want something in TS, you need to make it youself or contact third parties.
Was it ever used as a resource for DTG? I don't know but I doubt it. I think it was created as a focused place for suggestions that always has and probably always will arise, if this section was removed then they'd just end up mixed into the general discussion forum and I'm not ok with that, I vary rarely venture into the suggestions forum unless something has piqued my interest (like this thread for example) and don't really want the general discussion forum littered with them. So to answer your question the point of this suggestions forum is housekeeping, at least as far as I'm concerned. Oh and who's to say a third party dev wouldn't be inspired by something they read in here? It's not DTG exclusive viewing you know.
It might give someone looking for a route potential ideas. But just like with TSW where the suggestions come thick and fast, often duplicates, the chances of many if any of the ideas getting adopted by DTG or a third party are slim to none. Essentially a dumping ground to prevent ideas clogging up the other forum areas.
It's not pointless at all. Some of the suggestions I made, were put into action (or most likely already in development before I suggested them), though unfortunately, one suggestion I had was done by DTM and not devs who can actually make quality content, but that's besides the point anyway. Devs like Reppo and Smokebox also look at the suggestions I'm sure.
Not sure if companies like AP or ATS read the suggestions on here. But I would like to see a AP Class 769 Pack and a brand new Class 60 built from scratch in HD. Correct leading cab and proper Class 60 sounds etc. Would prefer AP to make both as they have made some cracking add-ons in their time. If the Class 319 is anything to go by. That EMU is extremely fun to drive!

Isn't it only you with the fixed scripting version or is it now fixed in the latest build? I can't really remember..
It's not a matter of being unhappy with it. But its been banned from being used on most scenarios that I plan to release and I have had to swap out the MJW 60 Pack for the JT one for certain websites. The only option is the Steam Workshop which means I cannot use the AP Class 319 or the Class 317's in that case as its not compatible.
ATS isn't the only place other than Steam you can upload scenarios, yes I get the whole reason behind the ATS ban of MJWs Class 60 but that's not what's in discussion here. Not telling you you should or shouldn't use it, just saying there are other upload avenues if you wanted to.
No worries mate. I can work around it. I do like the MJW Pack though none the less now its all fixed and it works fine. In truth, my reasons why I am asking for an AP/Waggonz Class 60 for 2025 is because of the new OO Gauge Cavalex Models and the Accurascale versions that are coming in 2025. I think I may have been spoiled with the AP Class 319 and the Class 87, Class 411, Class 37, Class 50 etc with all the working mod cons like GMSR and the NRM radio etc. Also with AP having done prototypical Class 60 sounds in the past, its a viable new locomotive add-on for a future release. As I have noticed that with the DTG model that has been botched in some areas. (Drivers cab window opening the incorrect way, VP185 sounds, model not correctly orientated as cab 1 is wrongly set as cab 2 and vice versa) and DTG hasn't yet fixed these on the base model since it's release in 2022. MJW has done his best with the DTG Class 60 and there is some cracking liveries in the pack, but to be fair to the man. He can only do so much with the DTG Class 60. I can live with using "CTRL+=" to get to the proper cab 1 end for now like the one on my avatar. However and if AP does a new Class 60 in the future. It would make a nice modern heavy haul pack that would match their Class 37 Packs and the Class 50 on the freights and would not have been a rushed and a botched model with the incorrect sounds like the DTG base model has sadly. None the less, I will continue to use the DTG Class 60 with the MJW revamp pack until then as I do appreciate the work and it is freeware. I am just a diehard Class 60 fan having used to see the real things a lot around Nottingham, Lincoln and Barnetby.
