Hey folks. Let's form a nice collective manoeuvre here and help DTG in the future with our input and ideas for North American routes and trains for them to consider when developing new routes and new trains. I will do a UK post in another topic because we all have different preferences and I prefer UK and American trains and routes and it will keep the list simplified for DTG to download this post when taking on suggestions. Here is my suggestions for DTG. Routes Pacific Surfliner - Los Angeles to San Diego Stock suggestions - Amtrak EMD F59PHI/Siemens SC44 with Alstom Surfliner cars, Metrolink MP36PH with Bombardier Bi-Levels, BNSF EMD SD40-2 with BNSF Wagons. Train Packs BNSF GE Dash 9-44CW/C44-9W with BNSF wagons Amtrak GE P42DC/AMD-103 with Superliners Coaster F40PH-3C/F59PHI with Bombardier Bi-Levels CSX GE ES44AC with Tropicana Juice Train (not sure of the wagon class but they are branded with Tropicana on the sides) Feel free to add yours and let's all help DTG.
NJ Transit Raritan Valley Line offers the experience of driving rural to urban commuter rail. For freight services around Roselle Park Bound Brook Sand, Patch Grade horseshoe curve Sherman Hill Cane Creek Oakville subdivision are layers on PC Xbox Series X/S PS5
And I would like the Rio Grade to be made one day. With Tunnel Motors, some GP40s or such, and even a switcher as a bonus. Either on Solider Summit, Moffat Road, or an entirely different route that's not been made yet. But much like the other suggestions on here, one can dream.
The big question is this if you have a Rio Grande Route will that allow Rio Grande Locomotives to appear on Cane Creek Sherman Hill and SFJ (shared with Caltrain) since these are Union Pacific routes. That were to be the case this will be the West Coast equivalent to Eastern Time Zone Clinchfield RR where the SD40 can run on Sand Patch Grade.
Short answer; no Mid-answer; it would be more of a Historic route like CRR rather than another modern route, like all the others so far. Plus, for Cane Creek, it would have to be a separate timetable to use these units if it's possible.
