Hi, I have a problem I'm not sure how to deal with. I've created a copy of the standard "Isle of Wight" route - "Shanklin Sunrise" scenario, here I've replaced the original Class 483 NSE train I drove with a Caledonian Works "GWR 3031 Dean Single" steam locomotive model (advanced model) and 2 Matrix Trains "Concert 1922" coaches. Unfortunately the scenario cannot be run as an error message appears, which I attach. I suspect that the "advanced" model will not be compatible with the scenario due to the scripts. But I don't understand these things, so this is pure speculation. Do you have the same problems in these cases where you swap rigs in the script and it doesn't work? Thank you for advice.
There's an update in the pipeline concerning lua scripting (see Announcements) - maybe this will solve the issue (if it is loco related - I don't have the GWR 3031) Note that a scenario is not guaranteed to work after using LocoSwap - the safer way is to use the editor so the timings can be checked - LocoSwap cannot update this information in the scenario.bin. TSC's dispatcher is NOT dynamic. If your loco doesn't meet the specs required to keep the timetable, the scenario could fail to run. Open it in the editor and see what errors it shows. As IoW is a simple route, I'd recommend to build a scenario from scratch. Excellent route for learning how to use the editor - loads up fast and pathing is easy.
You're welcome. Generally speaking, you should replace the loco with a one that is able to run the scenario in the same amount of time - or create a new one, or in IoW case consider doing a QuickDrive with your favourite engine.
Thanks again. I have one more question - regarding TS Tools. When I use them, make some changes and then try to save the changes I get an error message, which I attach. I really don't know what it means. The program is at the latest version 1.082 and is running as administrator.
You need to select one of selectors on right hand side e.g. steam and select the asset that you want to choose - the source and the type of loco in this case e.g. DTG 8F pack. Then click on the swap. There is a manual for TS tools.
Hi, swapping is OK. The picture is from when I successfully swapped the train I'm driving. But this is what appears after pressing "save the changes".
Towards the bottom of the list on the left is "Retain Original Numbers When Swapping Stock" So you started with a 483-001 unit and you named the Steam Loco 483-001 which does not work. Instead of using TS Tools use Locoswap
Thanks, I'm using LocoSwap now. That doesn't solve the problem. I've already read that if the script is designed for a standard model, it won't work with advanced models.
In which case swap the locos and stock in the cloned scenario https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=380001963
