This would be an awesome route, it would be great if it would be in the early 2000, because then we could use the beloved RE 4/4, the legend in Switzerland, there are about 300 produced, and still about 150 are running. The good part is, the locomotive has a lot of power, it's for hilly lines but also for flat tracks. The even better thing to consider is that it's able to carry passenger trains, but also heavy freight trains! Now this is available for highspeed, regional and commuter service, it's a Universallok, that's what we call it in Switzerland, the locomotive was built in 1964, mostly it was the common Red SBB livery, which still is around today, and the good old green one, which gave the Christmas vibe since it has the colour of a beautiful Christmas tree! To bring a bit more exciting traffic to the rail, I would also suggest the RBe 540, this is a common unit to pull the passenger carriages, which are also allowed on the RE 4/4, but only for commuter and regional trains, the cab car is a similar version to the RBe 540, I should mention that all these trains have almost the exact same cab layout, this is in my opinion a great route because it's in the part of Switzerland that was never discovered in TSW, would be awesome, thanks for reading! RBe 540 in the front now the cab car the legend, RE 420 (RE 4/4) it has a beautiful whistle! And here's the green version, sorry about the advertisement.
Excellent Idea and for the Zurich area you might as well link this to my Mighty Limmattal suggestion since Rbf Limmattal has the Re 420 depot
Yea, the good part is, it drives via Zürich which means, another 4/4 has to come from behind to couple it up like in the diesel legends from the great western express, that would be really cool
