This sign means you can increase to this speed once the rear of the train has passed.

Here are some useful ones about gradients.

The bottom number is gradient % and top number shows the length in meters.

    This sign means whistle

And this means you have to stop at this point for group signals.

    Here are the signals

    Distant Signals / Repeter Signals

Expect Stop - Weirdly enough they show this aspect on stop signals if they are a combined signal.

This is a great help as always, this is usefull going uphill but going downhill it might be more challenging to keep track of the signs all the time, mainly because i'm sure most people are to busy while useing all 3 braking systems to hopefully get down the mountain in one peice instead of peices.

Now the only thing we need is a explanation on how the ge 4/4 II in cab saftey system works.Like what sets off the in cab system?Because it offen happens at about the same points along the line, each time.

My downhill experience has been to use the wheel to control my speed only while using the wheel and main brake only when coming to stops at stations. I don't use the locomotive brake unless I am stopped on a hill and don't want to roll backwards which happens a lot!

I have read somewhere in one of the post that one of the harder downhill train trips is the 5th senario where you take a group of train fans to the viaduct to take pictures, but the ultimate challenge seems to be getting back down the mountain while having to deal with the fact you now have a heavy 2nd locomotive at the rear to turly test your braking skills, but i guess it really is the ultimate challenge.

Really excellent idea and it should be helpful for future Swiss routes since regardless of track gauge 1.435m or 1 metre gauge Adhesion or in the future Rack Railway Strub Riggenbach and Abt Systems. It seems you got the signaling information directly from SBB-CFF-FFS Infrastructure website.

So actually it came from a combination of the actual rule books, guides for the train sim version, videos on youtube, and google!

Okay...been walking lines and taking photos. Almost ready to make my diffinitive UK signal page.

2 weeks stuck in quarantine because everyone else at my work has covid. I've had some freetime.
