When TSW2 first brought us its immersion settings, the right stick (R3) would switch us between inside and outside cameras, mostly keeping the same position, so if you were on outside view and had a nice long shot of the front end of your train, you could switch back inside if you needed to check something, then switch straight back out to the same view.

Since the Rush Hour update, we now have the ability to switch to multiple outside views, but every time you press R3 once to change to external camera, it's right next to the driver's side window, so you have to manually reposition it again.

Can we revert to a system where the immediate outside camera 'remembers' the position it was in relative to the train? It was a fairly simple thing that's now quite annoying in its absence.

This can be changed in the Controls section of the settings menu.
The ‘Immersion Camera Switch’ option allows you to choose the default between the Head Out (as it is now), the External (the one you’re after), or the Free cameras.

Yes, that's exactly what I was after, thanks! I'd looked through the settings, but totally missed that! :)
