So its been discussed and this route is ideal within TSW. Reason being is A, its only got 16 stations, B its only 15 miles and C the only new unit we'd need is a 450 OR 444 in SWT livery. Since they managed to get the EMT logo permissions and now have the 380 licensing it may be more then possible as it means more desiros could happen. As for layers we got Class 377/4 for a limited stop service to Southampton from Portsmouth and Southsea or Portsmouth Harbour Class 166 for a limited stop service as far as southampton for cardiff central. Plus a few rail tours and arrogate trains. I feel if it does get done, it'll sell relatively well like the goblin line.
Southern route good idea but not going to happen as dtg have forgotten about the Southern Region for almost 2 years in New routes now
Do it before electrification with Class 205 Hampshire Thumpers (with 31’s and 33’s layered in on Bristol to Portsmouth services) and might actually be a worthwhile endeavour for TSW.
Vern, also known as a class 50 route too... we need that beast in the game. Tsw5 hopefully as I didnt buy 4 as it was and still is a mess. Bpo I'm missing out on.
The triangle of eastleigh,Southampton and Pompey would be cool.. both freight and passenger services.
Having a short spur across to Havant would allow for a place to start/end the Brighton/Victoria to Southampton Central Southern services, as well as Portsmouth Direct Line services and the now historic GWR Bristol to Brighton limited service. Class 450 would be the obvious choice for inclusion, also filling in as AI on the South Western Main Line at Southampton.
