    Ok it is not a train but the route is now defunct.

    The monorail was called tnt then metro monorail.

    it connected darling harbour, Chinatown, and the CBD.

    the route started in 1988 and closed in 2013.

    I think with the route as you say 'defunct' it might be a little challenging to produce the route, especially the physics of the train and the actual state of the tracks (literally gone apart from a couple stations)

    Not to mention that a full loop was a blink-and-you-miss-it 12 minutes long...

    No possibility for service variation - all trains were all-stations, single direction with no possibility for passing or running the opposite direction.

    The only variation you could get would be going in and out of the stable at Pyrmont for maintenance or overnight storage (they ran 6am-midnight originally). Seeing DTG implement a traverser for the first time would be interesting though.

    i did ride that very monorail when i was younger actually, (my god it's been 10 years already since it closed) and yeah, the service variation would certainly not be the best.... although i would like to see the traverser.
