About The Freight operators along this line are Aurizon, Pacific National and SCT Logistics. Passenger services are handled by Adelaide Metro (Some playable services) and Journey Beyond (these would only be AI and are all long-distance). The total length of this suggestion is about 161.2km (100.1mi) Adelaide Metro services run on a track gauge of 1600 mm (5 ft 3 in), while freight & long distance services run on 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) Adelaide-Wolseley railway line This line runs from Adelaide to the South Australia/ Victoria border. It makes up part of the Melbourne-Adelaide Railway. I am recommending the section between Tailem Bend loop (where there is an Aurizon Yard) and Adelaide, where the rest of the line suggestion will continue. The length of this section is about 120.9 km (74.5 mi) Belair line This line runs wholly alongside the section above for 21.5km (13.4mi). This line runs from Adelaide railway station to Belair station with 15 stations, It is operated by 3000/3100 class Diesel railcar. Trains depart at least twice every hour on weekdays, with as little as 10 minutes' waiting time during rush hour. Adelaide–Port Augusta railway line The Adelaide–Port Augusta railway line is the main route for northbound rail traffic out of Adelaide, South Australia. It is part of the Adelaide–Darwin rail corridor and the Sydney–Perth rail corridor. I am suggesting the section from Adelaide to Dry Creek (where there are 2 Aurizon yards and a loop) The length of this section is about 14km. If extended a further 8.8 km (5.4 mi), it could reach the SCT yard at Penfield. There is also an additional terminal in Adelaide owned by Linfox with trains operated by both Pacific National and Aurizon. Gawler line This line runs partly alongside the section above but continues onwards beyond what I am suggesting, It runs for 42.2 km (26.2 mi) This line runs from Adelaide railway station to Gawer central station with 27 stations. The majority of services are operated by 4000-class trains) Nearly all services either start or terminate their journey at Gawler or Gawler Central stations, apart from a morning peak express service that begins its journey at Salisbury. Hi-Frequency stations (Islington, Mawson Lakes, Parafield, Salisbury, Elizabeth, Smithfield, Tambelin and Gawler) have services every 15 minutes from Monday to Friday. All other stations have a 30-minute service, obtained by every other service skipping that station. This is in addition to several peak hour express services that stop only at selected Hi-Frequency stations. On weekends and public holidays, services operate with a 30-minute frequency at all stations, with the exception of stations between Dry Creek and Adelaide, which are hourly instead. Rollingstock 3000/3100 class (Gawler Line, Belair Line) 4000 class (Gawler Line) LDP Class, SCT Class, GWA, GWB Class (Downer EDI Rail GT46C ACe) (mainstay) NR Class (mainstay) CSR Ziyang SDA1 CF, GWU Class (UGL Rail C44aci) AL Class BL Class CL Class FQ class (Downer EDI Rail GT46C) CM class (MPI MP33C)
DTG have stated Australia is currently a no go so far as licensing and access is concerned. There’s also the LAMPOIL factor to consider. Even if the above was not a factor, it would cost an absolute fortune to send a team over for research (return air fare from the UK to Australia around £1k) so they would have to be convinced the route would be a huge success as in 1000’s of copies sold to justify that expenditure. Plus all Australian resources from infrastructure to buildings and unique flora and fauna would need to be built from scratch. Best chance would be getting a reliable third party on board but look no further than TSC to see the lack of interest in creating payware. Being realistic, most Aussie content is freeware in Trainz or ancient MSTS, though even the latter has gone since the Steam4Me site collapses.
They would still need the licence as at present the only way content can be sold/distributed is through DTG themselves.
Unless it was made as a freeware project but it looks very time consuming for a talented individual to want to do that for free. I am surprised that there isn't any freeware scenery in TSW from a PC community standpoint, ie a branch line or a small commuter line etc like we see in other sims (not saying people should do their thing for free), maybe the design side to a rail line is hellish vs an airport or certain assets like signals etc aren't available to the public to use?
Well maybe if they got an issue with travelling mate they should change the game from being train world simulator because it’s not train world it’s European and USA world simulated using that as an excuse is pretty pathetic there getting so much money out of these games the least they could do is help Australians out a bit.
When I spoke to DTG they didn’t say anything about licensing they said the only reason they can’t have the trains itself from Australia is because they can’t have the logos or anything of the written companies on the trains if it were to be made so there’s two different stories man.
Found this rural scenery pack https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/...environment-collection-now-available-for-free I think one of the issues is how bad the editor is (i still cant work it out, and i have no idea how to make rollingstock for the game)
