Does anyone have an idea how to turn on the red taillights on the Metrolink control car when it is being towed? If you activate the lights on the EMD F125, they stay off.

If you're on PC you can use "Left Control" and "+" to swap ends to the cabcar, flick on the marker lights from the panel above the window, then do the same key press to move back to the front.

Yes, I play on PC, unfortunately switching with Ctrl and "+" doesn't work, German keyboard. If I walk into the driving car I can turn on the taillights.

Tailights settings only affect the vehicle, where the control is located. This is standard for all us locos. So turning the tailights in the F125, will turn tail lights on that F125 unit.
So to turn the tailight in the cab car, you need to go to the cab car and turn them on there.

As already written, if I change the driver's cab on foot it works. But there must also be a way to activate the taillights of the control car from the leading locomotive F125. There is no driver running to the control car to turn on the lights........

no it's not unfortunately. You need to turn them on in the control car.

When I start a scenario in the control car, the taillights of the F125 switch on automatically, so it works...

Fawx' first answer is the solution. Deutsche Tastatur: [STRG]+[´] (neben ß) und du wechselst zum Steuerwagen, Lichtknopf drücken, zurückwechseln. Losfahren :)

IRL the engineer doesn't just appear in a cab. He/She either moved from the other cab at the terminus stations, so he/she turns on the appropriate tail lights when leaving the cab.

Or the train is brought into service, from yard. And when the train is brought into service both stations need to be checked for basic functionality, like brake control functionality. So the engineer is realy walking from cab to cab, So that's the time when trailing lights can be also set.

The issue here is with the default setup in TSW. When you spawn in main loco, the cab lights should already be lit, becasue the engineer would turn them on when he was leaving the cab after stopping at the terminus station.

HEP is a separate generator driven off the prime mover that provides amenities like heat and lights.
