Tried this earlier. Wagon five has a hot axle, wagon 5 looks visibly no different? Would it, should it, missed realism opportunity? Anyway off to couple up.....
Depends on how “hot” the axle got before being detected in real life. From what I have seen in videos, everything from slight smoke, to cherry red to actual flames . Run8 V3 has working detectors and occasionally you will get a train stop order from a detector for hot box or dragging equipment and given the axle number. You then have to stop and count axles till you arrive at the location. No visual difference, but right clicking on the car brings up the car menu that will have a highlighted menu item to fix the dragging equipment. Haven’t had a hot box yet to see how you have to handle those problems.
