On the tees valley line as you come to Middlesbrough station from thor baby in REAL LIFE there is multi story car park near the station And there is other buildings too but why arent they on it
Because it’s not real life. Also, the carpark looks fairly modern so probably wasn’t there in the period the route is set.
There's lots of buildings missing Clarandon building for example! Same on NTP, although not having the Lancaster and York's Railway Map at Man Vic is the biggest spoiler for me. Sadly it's not going to be picture perfect with current resources!
I guess it's a case of "what's important?" and "to whom is it important?". If there's 50,000 players of the route and only three know about the car park then that about 1 in 17000 people who it might make a difference to. OK, so a car park is a fairly large thing to miss out, but it's not like it's a whole station, lots of sidings or a train that doesn't drive.
Another example is no Strangeways on NTP as you come out of Victoria so there are many examples across lots of the routes. It does matter to a lot of players though for immersion. Even DTG themselves have Wembley Stadium and the Shard in the Roadmap for console players (admittedly these have already been created tho). I would agree though that maybe a car park isn't as iconic a landmark as some of the stuff Gilly mentions
It's a simulator, a representation of the world surrounding a railway. The closer it gets to reality the better, but it's never going to be a photograph.
