As we know, the terrain painting tools in the TS route editor have never been that brilliant and it can be quite hard to get the available textures from the palette to blend smoothly. It's been so long since I did anything in the editor, I've quite forgotten what the optimum settings are for strength and drop off etc., to get a decent result without blotches everywhere. (Last route I built in TS is getting on for is some 8 years ago). If anyone could share what settings they use, it would be much appreciated. I had hoped by now the editor might have got some love as regards terrain painting, both in terms of how we do it and the ability to copy and paste - not to mention ease of adding more textures - but sadly seems not to be. One area where the Trainz editor does it much better (IMHO)...
