Just done a run on london commuter. Texture issue still there. This still not been fixed yet?? Am on series x.
It's improved, but not eradicated. The full texture reloads at frequent intervals still occur, but it rapidly loads the full resolution versions each time rather than remaining in the low res placeholders permanently.
We are aware that some users are still experiencing the texture issue. The update we released resolved/improved it for many but didn't completely remove the problem. The dev team are aware that this is still persisting and they are investigating a fix.
Yep still doing it occasionally, however this pales into insignificance next to the sound glitching issues which are driving me to distraction, as it happens much more often than texture reloading issues. Feel like throwing the controller across the room sometimes! I do hope DTG fix the sound on BML first.
Agree. The sound issue has been going for months if not over a year. There has been times i dont really want to play because of the sound issue on series x. Its just really really anoying
I’ve been playing ‘Dark pictures anthology : Man of Medan’, as it’s on Game Pass. TSW2 is not the only game that suffers with surfaces doing the texture glitch. Infuriating!!
I recall Matt addressing the Xbox sound issue on one of the streams. There was mention that sorting the sounds (bad looping, popping and crackling etc) may make the memory problems worse. So maybe that's the reason they are reluctant to fix quickly, given that gen 8 is already struggling memory wise.
I noticed the other day that they appear to have "solved" he sound issue on preserved routes by.... not having any sound. I appear to have no audio at all when running routes like Peninsula Corridor now, so that's great. Still have menu sounds, and audio plays on TSW2 routes. Guess it beats the looping issues, but...
Meanwhile my Series X has gone back in its box and in the cupboard; back to PC for me! Obviously Matt does not regularly use his SX for TSW2, it would have driven him bonkers and been sorted by now.
You'll probably also need the London Commuter update as well before commenting that it's still present. (Unless you've had that, I haven't yet).
