Yeah, and we're all going to be waiting until a fix has been made, tested and shipped. If there isn't any patience, things get worse for everyone.
XBOX PEOPLE, REJOICE! Feast your eyes on those SHARP corners and WELL DEFINED edges. It does look too good to be true does it not? That's because it is. DTG, you are halfway there, a lot of trains have become from unusable to slightly annoying, given the fact every so often (~1km) the textures still momentarily degrade, but at least they get back to normal now. And stuff like the digital speedometer is still noticeably at a lower quality on my 4k display, and in fact if I zoom in, the clarity improves. I want to applaud you for doing a good job, and this change made me happy, but it's still a worse experience than before Rush Hour. I know MSFS runs with DX12 on xbox, is the lack of DX12 support the problem for the textures? PC users reported similar problems when trying to play TSW2 with DX12. However I appreciate there are bigger issues on other platforms, so the fact that the game is "playable" again is great. I hope you will get back to fix it completely once the other urgent fixes are done.
Been playing for around 45 minutes, class 09 on the West Somerset Railway had cab textures decrease once for around one second.
Playing around with the ICE 3 for 30 min, before at around 160kph the textures would be like ps2 in the cab. Now I have been going at 250 and the textures haven't dropped out once, still clear and crisp. I don't think the glitch is 100% fixed because it did drop out for a second at the start of the journey but this is a huge improvement. I will continue to play around with other trains to make sure but this is looking good so far.
In the Class 43 you can see the Texture glitch with flickering on the AWS Display, same on the Train Number
It's better and I played an entire BML service earlier without so much as a flicker, but I had a horrendous glitch when leaving Boston this morning. It was the 'Reverse Engineering' scenario, on an Xbox Series X.
I had that happen to me a couple of times when doing the ICE run to Koln before the patch not sure what causes it.
Some of the roll signs are still burry like on the 72 stock but for the most part i dont have that annoying pop in and out of low to high res.
Did a quick test after the latest patch. Texture glitch still appearing. Notably the text under the door buttons, dra button and wiper switch.
I wonder if they ever will to fix completely this glitch, as it is now more or less "playable". It wouldn't suprise me...
This was on london commuter with a 377 yesterday. Still texture glitches, no lag, but still a split second it looks like this. Anoying for sure. Better as it was but still nasty to see.
Good news matt stated in a stream yesterday that the part 2 to the texture glitch fix will be out in the next core update very soon. Not long to wait for a complete fix now. Pt1 allowed the textures to come back after they dropped out for a second and pt2 will completely get rid of the glitch all together. The end is near.
Believe it when i see it. I aint holding my breath. If it works and no more of it then great. But if it doesnt i shall be saying something to them
I have noticed a big reduction so far in texture issues but it still persist on the ACS-64 inside cab view (especially when going at speeds) a lot of it is still the screen for the acses and atc xbox series x
Glitching is much better but not yet fully resolved on my XBOX Series X. Flickering of text and white markings on some switches on several trains tried so far.
Still happens for me on Series X, but again like others have said, at a far less frequent rate. Maybe third times the charm for a new patch?
I'm still getting text flickering no improvement on that ,and still getting bright white flashes. Why does xbox have this many issues with unreal.
That bright white flash should be done as a matter of urgency, lest it causes someone out there to have a seizure.
I know the OG texture glitch is now fixed but has anyone else on Xbox got the same problem with the TGV specifically the TVM system being extremely low resolution compared to other dials, screens, numbers etc?? (I'm on Xbox one X)
cant even keep up with all the bugs in this game just stopped playing when an aws ramp at a green signal caused a spad. the texture glitch is still present when looking at signs on certain trains or the headlights turn very blocky shaped like on rapid transit, wcl, cathcart circle literally shaped like triangles unless you zoom the camera in.
It's getting silly now they take ages to fix a game breaking issue while overlooking these small details that effect the game especially when there is no good reason for them to be happening. Got confirmation for a full refund, their not getting a penny until these problems get solved.
No, I don't have this problem on Series X. It might be different on old gen. Hopefully someone else will take a look
I dont have tgv route. But the seha has tvm so i can have a gander the mora and see. Because that had been blurred and looking nasty last time i played it.
I assume your talking about South Eastern High Speed but the odd thing for me is that the TVM is fine on that, no problem, the TGV is the only one for me with the low resolution TVM numbers. Very odd.
pretty sure I remember them saying that the tvm for sehs was improved fro tgv so that could be why it's better resolution
Any update on this? These texture issues are driving me crazy. I'm on series x and one x. Series x flickering is way worse but still present on the one x build. I havent noticed any texture degrade but I have really bad flickering on most locos. The sides of the f40ph are the worst so far on the exterior with minor flickering on pretty much all others here and there....then obviously all loco have the inside flickering switches and gauges at least. Seems to be related to where on the track u are. I tested it, while going slow waited till the flickering started....then reversed back the "clean" spot. Has dtg mentioned anything recently related to this, like what the hold up is or if a fix is even planned or in the works. Its fine if they are working on it but, doesnt really seem they are as its been quite some time now.
Do you have a video showing the issues you're talking aout? The texture glitch referred to in this topic is long fixed - it sounds like you're seeing some kind of z-fighting textures perhaps? Matt.
