Bonjour à tous, I don’t know where to put this small tutorial but to the mods, feel free to move my thread to the right place. I’ve read many people on this forum struggling to couple/uncouple the TGV, I know this DLC came out quite a while ago on TSW2 but…. better late than never. Anyway enough talking let’s go straight to the point. On the game, every TGVs are coupled (2 sets) except one or more scenarios. I took screenshots for each step so you can recreate it by yourself. If people want I can make a video as well. I’ve made these screenshots on the training center so the TGV will only be powered under AC current. If you start in Avignon you put the “Pantograph mode” switch to “LGV”, and at Marseille Saint-Charles to “C”. First you need two different sets of TGVs and then you open up each coupler hatch: After that you set up the set that won’t be moving this way: “master switch” to on, raise the pantograph, close the “circuit breaker” and click on “rearm circuit breaker” next to it. Then you activate “service retention”, open the “circuit breaker” to finally lower the pantograph. After that you can put the “master switch” to off and click on “service retention” again. The next thing you need to do is to put the “coupler control” to the “couple” position: After that you can leave the train and jump in the next one. For the next train you set it up by putting the “master switch” to on, raise the pantograph, close the circuit breaker then rearm it. Of course same as the other set, you put the “couple control” switch to “couple” Set the driving mode to “couple and uncouple” and accelerate slowly until you feel your train kissed the other one: Voilà ! You’ve successfully coupled two sets. Now let’s uncouple. PS: like in real life, to see if it was coupled properly you need to accelerate slowly backwards.
Now let see the uncoupling procedure. It’s easy, you have to hold the “uncouple” position on the “couple control” switch, until the red symbol (LSDJ) shows up. After that you raise up the pantograph again, close the circuit breaker and rearm it and you’re good to go without the other set you don’t want anymore:
my man told me all I forgot to do is set stuff to couple mode and I wondered why do they just collide and not couple??? thank you
I don’t understand neither why this wasn’t covered in details on the manual or in-game as a tutorial.
Okay now I have to try it with the ICE 3. they have the same coupler type so it should work, though I believe it's rather not implemented.
Hi there, Could you please make a video about it? Would be a little bit easier to follow and check if it is done correctly imo. Thank you!
