This suggestion is called Thameslink Core, But it would stretch out beyond the core. This route would run from Sutton in South London to Luton. Lots of services would be drivable, particularly north of Blackfriars. Services to Sutton would run from St Albans to Sutton via Wimbledon, and then make the return journey to Luton via Mitcham Junction. Other services would also run. Trains included: Class 319 in Thameslink white livery Class 377 in Thameslink white and FCC purple Class 700 in Thameslink white This route would provide layers on Brighton mainline and southeastern highspeed with the class 700. Class 465 and 375 AI at Blackfriars with correct DLC Drivable 377 services on Sutton loop This route would provide lots of services and interesting locations such as: London blackfriars Disused sidings near City Thameslink Disused Kings cross Thameslink Station Luton Airport Wimbledon Station Tram connection at Mitcham Junction Tube connection at Farringdon Power changeover at city Thameslink/Farringdon
Not a bad suggestion, and certainly achievable as rolling stock additions are minimal IF you leave out the East Midlands stuff north of London Route length is under 35 miles, station count is 22. With 319 and 377 (won't look at 700 at the moment due to licensing but not really necessary if set back in the day a bit) you can have a decent timetable with subbed in consists. 377 SN for the Caterham to LBG services (short crossover so AI only), 465s for the Orpington to Blackfriars trains and plenty of Thameslink variety north of the river and through the core. Put it in the transition between 319 and 700s and you would have the 387 as a possibility as well
Excellent idea the way to bundle this is Germany getting Hamburg S-Bahn to Stade United States Boston blue line or Metro-North New Haven line as Train Sim World 2 Overhead Third Rail Commuter Pack. Some of the portions can Receive SEHS 375 465 Metro Camell BML Class 377/4 ECW 377/1. Speaking of 377/2 & 377/5 ECW BML models serve their base while 387/1 uses 387/2 Base
