Hello. I have a suggestion. How about a route for the 700 Thameslink train. As we already have it on Southeastern Highspeed route, the 700 has like 12 different lines that it also serve, like Peterborough to Horsham, or Cambridge to Brighton If it's possible can this be a DLC that can be looked into on future TSW games? Any other suggestions would be nice to add to this as well. Thank you Also, I think there's other trains that run on there routes as well but I don't know any. Plus, I would love to see the track inspection train on UK routes run around and check the tracks too
That would be so nice! The smart thing to do would be making it as a paid map extension for the 'london commuter' route as it already contains the entire track section from Brighton to East Croydon. So I would really love to see a map extension from East Croydon to London St Pancras International!
They could do a route from Littlehampton to Brighton and have it as a 'West Coastway' type add on. Include an updated 377/4 (WCML 377 standard) and then have layers in the timetable for the 313 and 700 as well as maybe the 66 and 37/7. With the ability then for a 700 layer to also be added to the BML so you could run your TL4 from Littlehampton to Brighton, route hop and then run from Brighton to East Croydon. All rolling stock exists in game at the minute so there wouldn't be a need to model a new train, it would offer people who don't have a 700 or 313 playability as well as the option for more sales on the 700, 313 as well as the SEHS and ECW for those locos.
I'm rather hoping Kings Cross to either Peterborough or Cambridge will be in TSW at some point soon. So that would allow the 700 to stretch its legs and run at 100mph. I like the idea of any Thameslink DLC being done in conjunction with an updated Brighton mainline. Maybe with the Thameslink line to Blackfriars being added. If the GN line came down to Blackfriars through the Snow Hill Tunnel you'd be able to route hop and continue the drive down to Brighton. I do wonder whether an older version of Thameslink is more possible, a Class 319 would be handy for NW routes and setting Thameslink in the short period where 700s ran shared services with 319s, 377s and 387s would provide an insane amount of variety with only one new "loco" needed.
Kings Cross to Peterborough would be a treat as it could be a route hop on the ECML to change to Pete to Donny, the 801 can layer as well as the 700. If I could have my pick of any of them though as a genie wish, I'd go for Dartford further towards Luton
If you are on PC there are two custom made timetables for WCML over at TS community, a 2019 and 2024 version both with the network rail HSTs (requires GWR for it to work)...
I think a track inspection vehicle would be an absolutely awesome gameplay pack idea - I think the issue is the access to the equipment?
