After such a big German content update why has this pretty big issue has not been solved? You can't drive any Dostos services out of Dresden because the overhead wire is missing where the loco's have stopped. There is nothing for the pantographs to connect to in just that one section on all of the lower platforms. It has only been reported since the release of TSW3.
There're quite a few sections from the OHLE on Tharandter Rampe missing. Not only at Dresden Hbf, also around. It's a big mess. See pics below. Still, you CAN drive the train out of the station. Power is there, the loco reacts and the pantograph pops up by magic as soon as it finds a wire.
Was going to say, surely electrification is specified in the track property with the actual overhead being a scenic item? Still it’s a bit of an omission, don’t tell me DTG are so pushed for artist time they cannot allocate an hour or two to fixing this. Or more likely DCZ has had its time on the Dovetail Lifecycle Flywheel and joined other older content in the forgotten corner.
That is also my concern. I had always hoped that the route would get a TSW4-lighting-update - that would make a big difference. The many railroad museums along the line also gave me hope that there would be an extension with steam operation one day (in real life recently there was another big event with steam trains running in parallel) but at the moment I have the impression that the line has been abandoned by DTG. This route could have been used to run the ICE TD - or current electric rolling stock such as the Alstom Coradia Continental (1440).
As with other routes, we hoped DCZ would be built on, maybe extended or combined to provide a Zusi style super route. Sadly not to be, which is why I’m not rushing to buy the likes of Semmering as it will just be another standalone project, quietly forgotten in a few months.
With 2 museums, that route is great for throwing any odd vehicle on and giving it a service. Despite being in East Germany (former DDR), even 103s appear in Dresden quite often.
Exactly. That's why I always hoped they would keep the route up to date and release more interesting content for it.
Oooops, the video is from PS5, service mode, the R3 at 08:36h. Possibly there's a difference. Do you see the power bar in the MFD?
