I always felt that all this sounds proofing done on just about every kind of passenger carriage isn't quite right. Especially for the old MK1s and MK2s. Even the DMU's or HST should still be fairly noisy inside. TSW has suppressed a lot of sounds I feel. The old 101 DMU should be fairy nosy but its fairy quiet. You opinions? The only sound insulated carriages would apply to the silver EMU on the rapid transit line if you ask me

The DoSto coaches are also wonderfully quiet inside. At least as long as the door to the next car is closed, then it get a lot louder. And guess what, it's actually replicated fairly accurately in TSW. The only thing missing (or too quiet?) is the grinding sound of the brakes.

Do you have any hard evidence (documentation, sound recordings, etc.) for your feelings?

If you had travelled on any DMU you would know what the sound was like inside the train

There are quite a few preserved in working order so it's not too late
