Greetings! I'm here to suggest a "frequently" requested line. Not only is this my local, but it benefits Leeds and other parts. I've thought to date this route back into 2018, the peak of northern rail as I say. Let me explain the route. History of the Route The first section, between Leeds and Bradford (Forster Square station), was opened by the Leeds and Bradford Railway on 1 July 1846. A number of the intermediate stations were closed in March 1965 (as a result of the Beeching Axe), however the line and its major stations remained open. Some of the closed stations, such as Saltaire, were re-opened during the 1980s. The line in 2018 Now with all the stations reopened for over 40 years, many trains were introduced to help control the line. Trains run at: • 3tph Leeds to Skipton • 2tph Leeds to carlisle • 2tph Skipton to Bradford Forster Square • 2tph Leeds to Ilkley • certain freight services • 2tph Ilkley to BFS Stations At this time, all of the stations have been reopened, newest being Kirkstall Forge. Stations on this line include: Leeds Kirkstall Forge* Apperly Bridge* Shipley Saltaire Bingley Crossflatts Keighley (possible KWVR add-on???) Steeton and Silsden Cononley Skipton (Now towards Bradford from Shipley) Frizinghall Bradford Forster Square (From BFS to ilkley) Frizinghall Shipley Baildon Menston Burley in Wharfedale Ben Rhydding Ilkley (Trains from Leeds to Ilkley from Kirkstall Forge) Guiseley Menston Burley in Wharfedale Ben Rhydding Ilkley * = Peak time services stop only. Trains The trains on this line are used from northern raill serço abellio. There is 3 trains. 2 new and 1 reused. Class 333 If we're doing this line, we obviously need to add the class 333, built in the early 2000s, the class 333s had originally 3 coaches untill the public helped pay for 4 coaches on the class 333s, increasing passenger amount. There is 16 units making this train unique to it's line. The brilliant Announcement "Welcome to the Skipton train" hopefully should be included. Love them announcements! I am asking for both liveries because of the refurbishment ongoing during 2018 also possibly helps with a scenario I will suggest. Class 322 The class 322 is an electric multiple unit that ran for northern rail, mostly the 2010-2018 era. These trains were getting old and it really showed it's age. Seats were falling and everything. But, we shall keep the memory of the 322s. Similar to the 321s it has 4 coaches and runs to a top speed of 100 mph. The class 322s mostly ran on the Airedale Wharfedale line running Leeds - Skipton, Bradford Forster square or Ilkley. Class 158 The class 158 is a well known train in the game but fairly expensive in my opinion. If you own either the SCR or EMT 158 you should be able to unlock other 158s. The 158s on this line ran semi fast services from Leeds to Carlisle, Morecambe and Lancaster. The class 158s service stop at: Leeds Shipley Bingley Keighley Skipton (Towards Morecambe, Lancaster and Carlisle) This train is a DMU and runs at a top speed of 90 MPH. Obviously we are using the iconic blue white and purple for the 158. Scenarios Brand new breakdown: a new refurbished train has broken down, your service has been asked to couple up with it and run your service to Leeds where you will drive your train to Neville hill Depot for maintenance of the refurbished train. Farewell: you are the lucky person to run the final 322 service from Skipton to Leeds. Expect a crowd of trainspotters and don't be afraid to use you horn! Busy skipper: Your running a service from Leeds to Carlisle but there is major delays on the line plus many people wanting to get on your train at various stations, doors may jam and you may get many red lights. The conductor strikes again!: its 2018 and there is many strikes so trains are cancelled. You are guarding this 333 service from Leeds to bradford Forster Square calling at all stop. Beware of overcrowding on the train and try to keep you service on time! Conclusion: That is the Airedale Wharfedale line right there! Please do tell me if I've missed anything or any other suggestions, I would love to hear them!
