440002 making it's way from Munich to Treuchtlingen

      • S8, S5 (RRO)
      • RB 33 (HRR)

      • RB 79 (MSB)
      • RE 3/RB 30 (DCZ)
    • Why this train?

Indeed this is is a updated version of my (bad) suggestion of the DB BR 1440 but I'm also including the 440 because, why not? Anyway let's get started.

    Information
The DB BR 440 and 1440 (also known as the Alstom Coradia Continental) are EMU's built by Alstom in Germany. These trains operate almost everywhere in Germany. These trains are fit for Regional Services but are also used for S-Bahn Services and have a maximum speed of 160km/h (100mph). There are only 2 variants of the 440 those being the 440 itself and the DB BR 1440.

    Services
The DB BR 440/1440 can be used for the following services which exist in TSW 2.
Italic = Not in TSW 2

S8 Hagen Hbf - Mönchengladbach Hbf (RRO)
Goes via: Hagen - Gevelsberg - Schwelm - Wuppertal - Düsseldorf - Neuss - Mönchengladbach

S5 Hagen - Dortmund (RRO) [AI only]
Goes via: Hagen - Witten - Dortmund

    RB33 Aachen - Essen (HRR)
Goes via: Aachen – Lindern – Mönchengladbach - Krefeld – Duisburg - Mülheim (Ruhr) – Essen

RE 7, RE 8, RB/RE 89 (HMA) [all folow the same path]
    Go via:
    • München – Augsburg – Ulm (RE7)
    • München – Augsburg – Donauwörth – Treuchtlingen (RE 8)
    • Nördlingen – Donauwörth – Augsburg – München (RB/RE 89)
RB 79 Aschaffenburg - Gemünden (MSB)
    Goes via: Aschaffenburg - Gemünden

    And finally:
    RE 3/RB 30 Dresden - Zwickau (- Hof) (DCZ)
Go via: Dresden – Freiberg – Chemnitz – Zwickau – (Hof)

    Liveries
The trains would have 2 different Liveries, all with different Stickers.
For RRO, the DB BR 1440 would simply have the S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr Livery
    [IMG]
For MSB/HMA, the DB BR 440 would just have the DB Regio Livery with the Bahnland Bayern Sticker on it. Additionally, the Train could also have the "Fugger-Express" Sign on it for HMA and the "Mainfrankenbahn" for MSB.
And finally for DCZ, the 1440 could have the MRB Livery (would require licensing of course)

    Why this train?
This train would make a nice addition into the game for RRO, HMA, MSB and DCZ since it features 2 different varients, all with 4 Liveries (if you seperate the S-Bahn, DB Regio and DB Regio Bayern liveries).

The 440 looks nothing special and the 1440 looks even uglier than the BR182. Although it's just a personal preference, I'd put both these trains on my steam ignore list...

Excellent idea and if Automatic announcements were to be added as a feature RRO HMA Main Spessart Bahn and Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr use Ingo Ruff while Tharandter Rampe uses Claudia Look Hirnschal as the voice.

For Tharandter Rampe DTG might be forced to make DB Red BR1440 then add in Veolia Transdev Mrb RB30 RE3 destinations on the DB Red Version. complete with Announcer Voice switch between RRO HMA HRR and Main Spessart Bahn Ingo Ruff to Claudia Look Hirnschal DCZ (Future S-Bahn Rhein Main) if DTG wants Train Announcement voices.
