(PT.1) This is my detailed suggestion for the legendary Bluebell Railway heritage line, the world's first heritage railway to operate a public passenger service. The Bluebell Line is a real jewel in the crown for railways. The line owns the second largest collection of locomotives and rolling stock behind the NRM and has been hosting popular events such as Giants of Steam and Branch Line Weekend since 2013. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Line Stats: Length: 11 miles Station count: 4 Station list: Sheffield Park Horsted Keynes Kingscote East Grinstead ------------------------------------------------------------------- I wish for this route to be set during last year's Flying Scotsman Gala when 60103 ran through West Sussex countryside for the second time in 6 years. 60103's last visit before this gala was in 2017 for the 'Flying Scotsman Flying South' gala which saw her work 3 passenger services throughout each day. This would be awesome for the game as it gives FS more lines to run on. Locos: BR Standard 5 73082 'Camelot' (Main) BR Modified Hall 6989 'Wightwick Hall' (Main) BR Standard 4MT 80151 (Main) BR ex-LNER A3 Pacific 60103 'Flying Scotsman' (Main/Layer) BR Class 09 'Gronk' (Layer) Rolling Stock: SR Bullied Open Third SR Maunsell Open Third BR Mk1 GN/B&C GNR Directors Saloon LNWR Observation Coach
(PT.2) Services: 60103: Set C (7 Coaches + LNWR Obsv Coach/GNR Saloon) SPK - EGS non-stop ((40 mins each way)) 6989: Set A (6 Coaches) SPK - EGS ((1hr 30mins each way)) 73082: Set B (6 coaches -> 6 Mk1s OR Coaches DLC) SPK - EGS ((1hr 30mins each way)) 80151: Set A (6 coaches) SPK - EGS ((1hr 30mins each way)) + SCENARIO 09: Shunting services at Sheffield Park (10-15mins) Scenarios: Flying South - 60103 has officially arrived at the Bluebell after a long tireless journey from the NRM. Drive 60103 + her support coach down the line to Sheffield Park in the pitch black. (45 mins) Standard Replacement - 6989 has been discovered to have a brake failure with her tender this morning. It is your job to drive 80151 out of the engine shed and to Set A ready for the first non-Scotsman service of the day. (15 mins) Sunrise Scotsman - Take Scotsman and a rake of breakfast dining coaches non stop down the line. (40 mins) Knight in Shining Armor - Finish the last leg of Camelot's final service for the day and then park her up in the engine sheds. (25 mins) AI Layers: - BML Class 377 at East Grinstead - Peak Forest 4F in the engine shed at Sheffield Park - SOS Wagons at Horsted Keynes Carriage Sheds Mastery Rewards: T1 - Flower decals for Livery Designer T2 - Enthusiasts at locations down the route
(PT.3) DLCs: -------------------------------------- Bluebell Rolling Stock expansion pack (£5.99) LC&DR 4-wheel 3rd LC&DR Brake 3rd Pullman Dining Coaches SR Maunsell Corridor Third LSWR 1520 Lavatory 3rd Brake (These coaches can be used for Set B services) LB&SCR Terrier 72 'Fenchurch' (£11.99) Conclusion: To sum up this suggestion, the Bluebell Railway should be the next heritage line in this game. I don't mind if DTG makes a return to steam development and makes this route or a third party like Just Trains could do it instead. The Bluebell Railway would be great for this game because players can have another route where they can relax at 25mph driving through stunning English countryside and with steam traction too. Thanks for reading and hopefully this will be the next mega project for TSW!
If this route is made (which is as unlikely as me travelling to the moon) I would prefer the Terrier to not be a DLC. In my opinion it shouldn't come separate to the route.
It’s a route Matt likes so it wouldn’t surprise me to see it in the game. Personally I would like the SVR.
If there was to be a loco DLC for this, the only options would be Fenchurch or maybe SE&CR O1 65 but you never know
Lots of happy memories on the Bluebell and I’d love a Terrier as well. Would love to see both in TSW.
I would love to see some more heritage railways in the game! I have only visited once, but it was a great day out. Would love to see the Bluebell in TSW
I went to the Bluebell for both Flying Scotsman Galas, the 2023 Model Railway Weekend and for days out with friends, it is a great railway.
Two things about this, 1. Earl of Berkeley isn't in steam 2. EOB just started her two year stay at the Vale of Rheidol Railway
Great suggestion to bring more tourist railroads into TSW. I don't mind seeing more being represented in the game because it can add more dlc variety to the standard commuter/frieght lines that are in the game. It's just that Dovetail needs to get their steam locomotives properly simulated.
honestly if they ever do steam again i'd be over the moon. And if they ever do this route. They need to include all locos that alfielegend#4097 have mentioned. Dont leave us out with only 2 similar looking locos again. And honestly i am kinda suprised you didnt include a bullied loco cuz i remember seeing one at one of the sheds at Sheffield Park the last time i went there.
Every locomotive is exactly what we need, even if they don't include all the locomotives in Steamworks they can implement the current operational ones
Or in fact the Class 09 shunter has hauled passenger trains so maybe class 08s could be right at home with this also not forgetting the class 73 electro diesel that can be developed too for steam locos Flying Scotsman can be used as well as the Jubilees Leander and Kolhapur. Rolling stock the Carmine Cream and BR Green Mk1s even include the Victorian non corridor stock
