Has anyone played this? Not really one for bus sims but it's ment to be really good or so I've been told? Thanks.
I haven't played The Bus but I do have a couple of suggestions. There is a developer team called astragon and they have made bus sim 21. They did make one in 2018 but get 21 instead as 18 has 4 licensed manufacturers whereas 21 has 11 including dlc. You can find 21 on steam, epic, ps4, and Xbox One. I believe next gen upgrades are coming on May 23rd along side a new map extension.
I've already got bus simulator 21 in my library, one of the kids wanted it ages ago. I'll have a look. Thanks.
I have The Bus but I don't really play it since I can't really run it that week since I'm on a lower end laptop so not good performance. I use an egpu but that still results in stutters. If you have a desktop with modern hardware, then it'll run really well as seen in YouTube videos. The updates do happen quite slowly. They're always adding more content. It's much better than bus simulator 21 which I found to be extremely arcady. The Bus is more towards realism.
Yeah I do agree but the only reason I don't play it is cuz my Laptop can't even a have a 10gb game installed without asking for space. Planning to upgrade very soon.
I tried The Bus when it first came out but the function to change the camera angle [RMB] also changed control mode to default to keyboard so I had to scroll through camera and vehicle control modes every time I wanted to check the mirrors it would turn off the steering wheel. I also had serious issues with Fernbus crashing every time the options menu was exited but they kept closing support tickets and prohibited mentioning of any glitch, so I have not had much of an urge to see what has changed in The Bus. I have had much more success in OMSI 2 and that is not only running under severe limitations being 32-bit but has no developer support anymore. It does have an easily readable config file method of programming so it can be easily modded and you can change a lot of stuff like AI really easily. Just be careful how much memory you are using, a lot of newer DLCs push the 4GB limit.
Yes I have omsi 2. Its quite good apart from the dated graphics. I've not come across a limitation on memory yet. I'm running windows 11 so would the limit even apply?
Yes, anything in 32-bit is limited to 4GB of RAM. The 64-bit memory limit for Windows 11 Home is 128GB although 64-bit software can be expanded further in the future as 64-bit can technically go up to 16,000,000,000 GB, so we won't be needing to upgrade to 128-bit anytime soon.
