Rivet has totally and utterly bodged the physics up on this thing beyond belief. Something very very odd happens around 40-45mph that is not realistic at all. See it jump in acceleration as soon as it hits the gear change speed? Ridiculous. I am appealing to any clever modifiers out there who would be able to copy the exact physics profile for the beautiful Class 166 ( acceleration and braking profile ) and change the gear change over speed to 45mph ? Whilst this wouldn’t be perfect, it would make the thing a thousand times better to drive then it’s current state ? DTG, PRES CREW, MODDERS ….. ANYONE??? My dream unit and I can’t use the thing. I have seen someone do this ages ago so I’m sure it’s possible. It’s such an amazing looking model - would be nice to use it. Seriously, how many times are you gonna mention this Class 150 thing on these forums? Let it go, or play with AP's version in TSC.
And if somebody has paid for content then they don't have a right to moan about it not being fixed then no......
I don't think modders can do anything since they have no access to simugraph. What they can do is very limited
I will not rest until this is fixed and to an acceptable quality of release, and what they advertised - TRUE TO LIFE. If you don’t like seeing a member sticking up for the community and getting something they actually paid for - scroll on by little man
I don't think tsw can simulate everything true to life. It can replicate it to some point. Real life has a lot of variables and factors that influence a train's physics.
the root cause for it is how rivet games improperly integrated AP Class 150/2 physics package and sounds.
Absolutely behind you on this Gary. ATM I'm just hoping (not a prayer man these days) that Skyhook don't botch the 158 in the same way so at least we get a reasonably driveable, sounding and pleasant to use Sprinter in the game. There seems to be an uptick the last few days in people blindly apologising for DTG and, in this case Rivet, when things are just plain wrong. And we know Rivet haven't learned a thing from all the reported issues E to G and its 385 have. They churn out content, DTG rubber stamp it regardless and they laugh all the way to the bank. Right, I'm off to play some Run 8...
I don’t think it is in your best interest to ask for this to be fixed: you will have to find something new to moan about!
