The cornish mainline (CML) between Plymouth and Truro. At a distance of about 50 miles, it would take a suitable time to go from 1 end of the line to the other.
Stations would include Plymouth, Devonport, Dockyard, Keyham, St. Budeaux ferry road, Saltash, St. Germans, Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway, Lostwithiel, Par, St Austell, and Truro. A possible extension from Liskeard to Moorswater Sidings would be good for freight services, and also include the least used station in the UK, Coombe Junction halt.
This route would also make a suitable introduction for the Class 800 series into TSW 2, as well as the introduction of the new castle class sets (HST 2+4), with sliding doors, operated by GWR. If DTG wants to go all out, the Class 150/2 would be nice to see, and the potential for freight services between Burngallow (nr St. Austell) and Moorswater.
In terms of depots, Laira T&RSMD is the obvious choice, about 1 mile from Plymouth Station.
