I see they have filed for bankruptcy or something! Northwestern railway have suspended bedford to Bletchley services indefinitely. What will this mean for the island line? What other lines use these trains. Does anyone know?
I see. 100% going to be featured in Railway News - The Final Edition of 2022 (Edition 5). I reckon the Island Line 484s will still run but if they need a lot of maintenance it could be a red flag. Or if they in however many years get replaced by a new generation (Probably will be the Class 485 EMU lol) they won't be made by VivaRail. Or they will bring back the preserved 483s maybe but with the 2022 livery.
Are they going to scrap the 484s and bring back the 483s in 2023? But where they only new. They came in 2021. Why not give it 39 years so they can scrap
Not too sure. I can imagine they might use the 483s but in the new livery as I stated. Who knows what'll happen.
Looking at the works they have on the island line I guess if they can get the spares they will stick with the 484s? Going back to the older stock I doubt would be an option realistically. The 483s being unreliable and braking down constantly. Wasn't the northwestern railway trialing there trains?
