Thought this would be quite a fun little project to attempt. All done with owned content and modern as in at least BR Blue era routes. In terms of “rules”, where possible use a supplied scenario if it covers the desired portion, if not create your own or if all else fails a quick drive with suitable stock. Kind of like the Hellfire bashing game but gratifying as you get to see, hear and drive the trains! For the first portion start in Newcastle. Newcastle to Edinburgh (TSC). Edinburgh around the Fife Circle (TSC didn’t buy the TSW version yet). Edinburgh to Dundee and back - found the old JT route on disc but need to set up the runs with better traction than a 166! Edinburgh to Glasgow (TSC). Cathcart Circle once around (TSW). Glasgow North Suburban out to Helensburgh. (TSC) West Highland Helensburgh to Fort William (TSC) West Highland Fort William to Mallaig. (TSC). At that point a gap occurs. I refunded Sailaway because it was a bit LOVE not least because it doesn’t actually have any ports, so the traditional relaxing boat ride up the Sound Of Sleat off the menu. So we morph to… Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness (TSC) Once again we hit a large gap as JT cancelled their Highland Main Line. So over to FSX, find a nice 737 and fly Inverness to Glasgow before back on the rails with… Glasgow Airport Rail Link (TSC). Glasgow to Carlisle (TSC). Carlisle to Settle and back ((TSC). Carlisle to Preston (TSC). Preston to Blackpool (TSW). Blackpool to Ormskirk (TSW) Another little gap before we rock up at Liverpool for… Liverpool to Manchester (TSC). Manchester to Sheffield and return (TSC). Edit: Manchester to Glossop/Hadfield and return (TSW). Manchester to Leeds (TSC or TSW). Some more morphing… to finish with York to Newcastle (TSC). Part 2 to follow which will be York into Southern England and Wales. Thus far I’ve done Newcastle to Edinburgh and currently working on Fife Circle.
