Even though sounding long the Hastings Line is only 32.89 miles and was electrified in 1961.The Hastings Line still stands with 13 stations starting at Tonbridge and ending at Hastings. The route can be extended to Eastbourne or Rye or something to the north.

Earlier this year I think I made a suggestion for this route in a diffrent era - that being the 90's.

Personally I would much rather this route set in the 90's with 411's, 421's and 423's as that would be unique. Albeit I wouldnt turn down a Thumper.

Excellent idea overall and I would do it as 1986 when it was electrified that way you have 4CEP 4CIG 4VEP and Thumper 6B Tadpoles together. 4CEP 4CIG 4VEP and unlocking a 1980s Brighton Main Line timetable when you own Hastings Line with BML.

Many people seem to forget that the original DEMUs on this line were the Class 201, 202 and 203 narrow sets which were formed as 5 car short frame, 5 car long frame and 6 car long frame respectively. Some of the class 201 power cars were later formed into the North Downs Line Tadpole sets until disbandment.
