In the real world you also can't uncouple the heads from the coaches as a driver or single person. It needs a team of specialised workers and a hour of time to uncouple the head from the train. They are permanently connected with lots of big bolts and screws.
well, I think it doesn't take THAT long honestly, because on the ICE 1 the cars should be easier to seperate for switching out broken ones like on the ICE 4, while on the ICE 3 for example it is a exactly planned formation, connected with Kurzkupplungen (short couplers(?)) and very difficult to seperate, because the whole train is one true unit. the ICE 1 is just <=========> lmao thats also why in TSW you can move single middle cars together to couple them to create crazy long formations or very short ones (thank you godmode mod on PC)
You think they should, BUT they are not. I have a video of that (can't show it as it is private secret forbidden stuff).
The Shinkansen has secret technology too and they won't tell anyone. I would gather the same thing. Usually drivers are driving it. If they need to detach the cars (passenger cars are powered in the Japanese Shinkansen I think like the ICE3?) they will do it in the car shed depot when conducting regular maintenance. Just so you understand this is where maintainers and engineers live, not drivers. I would gather some are qualified to move the Shinkansen around the sheds within defined limits so no drivers are needed. I could be wrong.
