Exciting News: the screenshot contests are back! Welcome to the Railshots Contest. This new contest has new prizes and will run every month across Discord and Forums. Competition Theme: Commute Prizes and Winners For the contest, there will be 2 winners; all winners will receive a feature on the Loading Screens for 2 weeks, a feature in the Roadmap for that Month, plus a feature on social channels. They will also be rewarded with a TSW6-supported add-on key of their choice. Keys will be delivered via DM from the official Dovetail Staff once the competition is closed The last entries are on the 29th April 2026, with winners announced shortly after this. Look forward to seeing all your entries! Competition Rules: Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post. Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels, even better if it’s 4K! Screenshots may be taken on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S ,Steam or Epic. Submissions must fit the theme of the month, as stated at the beginning of this post. Other Rules: Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no community mods. No entries to include vehicles using Livery Designer. Due to licencing limitations, we are unable to use these images. Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules. Please limit chat to only when absolutely necessary. Setting up the shot If you are playing on Steam the keys “2” or “3” will offer a selection of pre-set external views, or you can use “8” to get a free camera with more control. If you are playing on console pressing the right joystick will give you a free external camera. Console players can change the camera angle moving the two joysticks, and on Steam the direction keys and mouse will achieve the same results. Taking A Railfan Shot Make sure “Hide the UI” is on in settings, then... Xbox One – Hold the X button. PlayStation – Hold the Square button.
