The night in Tramau seems to be exaggeratedly dark. It's never THAT dark in the city. Well, unless there's a blackout.

I don't know, I've never been to Austria, but do the streetlights in Austrian towns really stand so sparsely and give such a weak light that there are large areas of total darkness between them, so drivers experience a stroboscopic effect?

To make matters worse, this effect cannot be corrected in the options via gamma correction.

There is also a problem with poor lighting at tram stops. Many stops do not have any lighting at all (for example: Lichteralee). In such conditions, the tram driver cannot completely see the boarding passengers.

In the real world, even a completely dark tram stop is somewhat illuminated through the windows by light from inside the tram, but in CTS:Tram this effect is not simulated.

Then there is the issue of the pseudo-monitoring cameras on D-type trams (Flexity) in which nothing can be seen day or night. Since FPS is already being wasted on such gadgets, why not do something to make them useful in some way?

TSW has the same ‘sore’, it seems to me if DTG is development related, the root of the problem may be the same.
What time did you drive it? The latest flights I have are around ~19:xx (7:xx PM).

More of a coincidence as CTS, so far as known publicly, has not been touched by DTG in house coders and artists or any of the train branch second parties.

You guys are right, there is a similar problem in TSW. It's just that TSW is moddable and a lot of the bugs and DtG's sloppiness is fixed by modders or by entries in the Engine.ini file, making TSW playable and somehow fun to play.

CTS:Tram does not provide any option for self-modification.

It has been pointed out to the DtG developers many times that using the default settings in the game editor with which TSW is created causes numerous bugs and that adjusting them properly will solve the problem. Many more ‘ground-breaking’ versions of TSW have come out and yet nothing changes in this matter and we still have to manually tweak Engine.ini entries in order to have passengers on platforms, for example.
In the tram line options, you can set the running times. I realistically set myself 5:00-23:30.
