Hello All, Welcome to this suggestion. this is a very different suggestion, focusing mainly on Just Trains. instead of any developer, as they really are the best at making br era content. This is my first suggestion that focuses on one third party instead of multiple other devs like dtg or rivet. Anyway... my Proposed Suggestion will be the South Devon Mainline - Exeter to Plymouth and Paignton set in 1985 Venture across the Dense Devon Countryside from Britain's Ocean City, and speed along scenic Dawlish Coastline as you traverse the West Country STATIONS (MAINLINE) PLYMOUTH, IVYBRIDGE, TOTNES, NEWTON ABBOT, TEIGNMOUTH, DAWLISH, DAWLISH WARREN, STARCROSS, EXETER ST THOMAS, EXETER ST DAVIDS STATIONS(PAIGNTON BRANCH) TORRE,TORQUAY, PAIGNTON ROLLING STOCK (INCLUDED) BR CLASS 50 (NEW LOCO) FEATURES: Used Extensively on the route during the time period for express services to London Paddington and the North. BR CLASS 47 (REUSED FROM BLACKPOOL BRANCHES AND PRESTON CARLISLE) FEATURES: IC SWALLOW LIVERY BR BLUE LIVERY These also ran stopping and express services throughout the route, as well as freight. BR CLASS 101 (REUSED FROM PRESTON CARLISLE) South Devon mainline used different DMU power, but as we already have the class 50 as a new loco, it would be expensive to squeeze in a new dmu as well, so assume this will be included. The Class 101 would do Stopping services along the route, and will operate a lot on the Paignton Branch. BR CLASS 08 "GRONK" (REUSED) lets not forget the good old Gronk! doing shunting services around the yards of Exeter and Laira Depot! not to mention pilot services. WAGONS BR BLUE MK3s/3as Mk2/2a Coaches SEACOW WAGONS LAYERS: Class 31 - will operate passenger services, as well as run some freight. Class 45 - will operate passenger runs as well Class 52 - will operate passenger services too MORE STATIC STOCK IN LAIRA TMD, SUCH AS THE CLASS 142 (CHOCOLATE LIVERY) AND THE RED CLASS 52 AS STATIC KEY LOCATIONS FOR THE ROUTE: PLYMOUTH STATION - AUGUST 1985 LAIRA DEPOT - 1985 EXETER TMD - 1985 TEIGNMOUTH - 1985 TORRE - 1985 POSSIBLE LOCO DLCS FOR THE FUTURE: BR BLUE CLASS 33 IC125 - CLASS 43 "Valenta" HST BR Blue and IC Swallow Livery CLASS 117 DMU (BR BLUE LIVERY) Whats Unique about this Route? This Route is unique in it being a very coastal express route, featuring a lot of variety in rolling stock at the time. Just Trains doing their magic on a route like this, with such coastal scenery and nice countryside is perfect for them to be doing. Thank you all for taking the time to read this suggestion, whether you liked it or not, regardless, i thank you for reading it. Cheers!
Much better idea to set it around 1976 as then you will get all of the above but Westerns finished in early 1977 so would not fit in in 1985.
This route simply has to be on TSW one day. I would love it even more if it included the line down to Kingswear as well.
Pretty much my dream route and era. Back when Newton Abbot still had 4 platforms and I traveled to Exeter college every week day on a Paxman Valenta engined HST sitting up the front so I could hear them screaming as they pulled away. Then spotting at the weekend trying to get all the Class 50s. The HST is still my favourite train to this day and I certainly wouldn’t say no to a 50 in TSW.
A thousand players: We want South Devon mainline. One player: I want the the GOBLIN line. DTG: We hear you, we're pleased to announce that the next route is.... A thousand players: YES IT'S COMING!!! DTG: GOBLIN line. Seriously how has this route not been made yet?
