This is a redo of my original suggestion regarding the Queensbury lines that I made a few years ago as I now feel it can be improved. So here goes... The Queensbury lines was a network of railway lines, built by the Great Northern, running from Bradford to Keighley and Halifax via the Queensbury Triangle (one of two full triangle stations in the country, the other being Ambergate in Derbyshire). The line was known for it's challenging gradients and impressive views. I feel this would bring a lot of fun to the player to experience such wonderful sights within TS. The Queensbury Lines were previously made for MSTS by a chap called Roger North, the route was enjoyed by many MSTS players and it'd be good to recreate the fun in a bit more detail on Train Sim Classic - or even TSW? The line was eventually closed to passengers in 1955 and closed full in the late 1960s, being a victim of the Beeching cuts. The line was fairly rich in freight work, such as textiles with it being near Bradford. This gives a great variety for the player ranging from a local goods to a stopping passenger, even 7 coach seaside trains headed for Blackpool. As well as this, the line features magnificent feats of engineering such as Hewenden and Thornton viaducts and Queensbury tunnel. It is well withing DTG's skills to recreate such scenery and I feel it could be a really involving route for the player and simulator itself. I would most likely want to see the line modelled in the early 50s, with enough passenger work for the player as well as a bit of freight work to do. I have left a few images below for you to see what an interesting route it could be. Map of the Queensbury lines. Hewenden viaduct. Queensbury station Hewenden viaduct in service. I'd fully support this - I've been researching Bradford (Exchange) since 1994 - I've got the working timetable for June 1954 and would like to be involved in any way that I can.
