I was driving down the HRR on a BR101 IC train. When approaching Mülheim-Styrum the signal suddenly turned into red and I failed to stop. Then I mistakenly chose the Back to Checkpoint thing and returned to Essen. This time I managed to stop in time, waited for a freight train before I finished the service at Duisburg...

Oh, wait, wasn't loading a save going to mess up the whole timetable tasks, then prevent the service from being finished?

Then I tried an express service by Class 45 on NTP where (I believe) the saving issue also existed. I saved as soon as I get in at Leeds. Quitted and loaded again, the tasks are still there and I made my way to Manchester without any problem. The only thing is the first task (Load Passenger at Leeds) still duplicated itself, but it had no effect on the gameplay.

Now I'm driving a Baby Bullet service on SFJ where I met the issue for the first time. So far I've loaded twice while nothing seems to be wrong.

I don't know if loading a save will still cause a permanent red light though, but it looks like the timetable thing will no longer be disrupted by loading. Did they somehow fixed it recently?

Also, as far as I can remember, this issue existed on quite a lot of services involving:
    BR143, BR146, BR182, CL31, CL45, CL47, CL52, HST, F40PH, MP36,
    or maybe more.

When you load a save, the timetable tasks (the ones in the T menu) will get messed up. Sometimes you can not pick up passengers at stations any more while sometimes the stopping mark just disappears.

The common point is that they are all like loco-hauled-passenger-trains, which is pretty weird.

It is random so it is quite possible to have several successful save/loads during a run but it is the third or fourth one that trips over, then on other occasions it fails on the first or second attempt.

Because of time constraints and a fairly short attention span, not to mention my tendency to make mistakes, I use the "save and resume" function a lot and it's always been very dependable for me, thank goodness. I couldn't play the game without it. I don't know why I'm so lucky when I know it's very "iffy" for other players. Now I've posted this, it'll probably fall over next time I use it.:)

Certain routes or locos have very specific savegame bugs, which are recoverable if you expect them. One (is it RSN?) commences a Sifa penalty braking within 5 seconds of resuming, as if the light had illuminated then (it didn't). You just have to remember to hit the acknowledge immediately after gaining control.

MSB used to have a worse one (in TSW2020), which they fixed: after restoring a save, the Sifa acknowledge (both Q key and in-cab) became nonfunctional, so you were helpless when the light came on.
